^ WHAT?
Anyway, I just Amazing Spidey 2 and I was stunned. I went into it VERY apprehensive, but it was quite impressive. Acting & writing improved ten-fold over Amazing 1, and the action was more believable and plot-driven than I expected.
Understand that I am a HUGE Sam Raimi fan, and I adored the old-school (so far in the distant past) Spidey movies, especially part 2. Molina was and always will be Doc Ock to me. Toby is an underrated actor IMO and doesn't deserve all the crap that you kids give him. Jimmy Franco & Kirsten Dunce I cannot defend, however. Keep in mind the third installment was a train-wreck for many reasons, and Raimi may have been trolling the studio with the infamous Emo sequence. He may also have honestly thought it was genuinely comical, as people of his (and my) age are almost constantly having a laugh at the Hipster/Emo/Gangster style of contemporary youth. Thank god for you guys, your "fashion sense" has saved me from a bad mood many, many times.
That said, even despite Electro's lightning-bolt-scuba-suit costume the Amazing Spidey 2 was, in fact AMAZING. The pacing and plot development was well done, and the acting was almost flawless. I was especially impressed with Garfield and Stone, as I am not a big fan of Emma, but she killed it. Every scene with her was very "comic-book" without being corny, and I was genuinely emotionally rocked by her pivotal scene.
I can only wonder where the third installment will go? Sinister 6? Loner/Solitary Spidey? Carnage as a true match for Spider-man, both physically & in terms of resolve? 0_o
