^ WHAT?

Anyway, I just Amazing Spidey 2 and I was stunned. I went into it VERY apprehensive, but it was quite impressive. Acting & writing improved ten-fold over Amazing 1, and the action was more believable and plot-driven than I expected.

Understand that I am a HUGE Sam Raimi fan, and I adored the old-school (so far in the distant past) Spidey movies, especially part 2. Molina was and always will be Doc Ock to me. Toby is an underrated actor IMO and doesn't deserve all the crap that you kids give him. Jimmy Franco & Kirsten Dunce I cannot defend, however. Keep in mind the third installment was a train-wreck for many reasons, and Raimi may have been trolling the studio with the infamous Emo sequence. He may also have honestly thought it was genuinely comical, as people of his (and my) age are almost constantly having a laugh at the Hipster/Emo/Gangster style of contemporary youth. Thank god for you guys, your "fashion sense" has saved me from a bad mood many, many times.

That said, even despite Electro's lightning-bolt-scuba-suit costume the Amazing Spidey 2 was, in fact AMAZING. The pacing and plot development was well done, and the acting was almost flawless. I was especially impressed with Garfield and Stone, as I am not a big fan of Emma, but she killed it. Every scene with her was very "comic-book" without being corny, and I was genuinely emotionally rocked by her pivotal scene.

I can only wonder where the third installment will go? Sinister 6? Loner/Solitary Spidey? Carnage as a true match for Spider-man, both physically & in terms of resolve? 0_o

I mean it was the emo reasons (for Jedi level) in Star Wars I-III that made Anakin fall into the darkside. Palpatine was totally unable to pursue his goals using a character like Obi Wan Kenobi you know.

And in Spiderman it was his nerdy whiny loser character that makes him appealing for the role. For Spiderman his characteristics is appropriate. I think there is possibly even chaotic evil kind of Batman but, really, is that truly a Batman many want to see in the movies? (in b4 insignificant below 10% counterexample).

The logic is clear here. Not everyone should be Batman or Chuck Norris.

Sorry. No better answer you'll get for what and lolwut.

I hope that they bring in Mary Jane in 3 but don't have them in a relationship until Spider-man 4, as I'd like to see Peter grieving a bit, I also think it would be a good time to bring in Venom and have Peter use the Venom symbiote to deal with the Sinister 6 but not have him realise that the Venom symbiote is affecting him until Spider-man 4, then 4 could be about him fighting Venom.

Someone else who feels like me!! I've already watched two times in theatres after my first go. Amazing film. The one scene in the clock tower with Garfield was ****** 10/10. He did such an excellent job with the scene. Truly heartbreaking, and it still shocked me even though I knew it was going to happen. Action scenes were well done too, the last 30 minutes of the movie were frigging awesome. Spidey's costume is the best it's ever been, and I really hope the don't change it in the next movie. And that soundtrack. Hans Zimmer did an excellent job, and that theme song is so bloody iconic, I love it

As for the next movie, Marc Webb stated in an interview that is gonna have a lot of focus on Peter getting over Gwen (which is good, because I was hoping he wouldnt get over her that fast).

Details here:

Also, yeah, villians are definetely gonna be the sinister 6, based on the ending of the movie. And the credits hint towards who theyll be. It's gonna Doc Ock, Vulture, Rhino, Green Goblin, Kraven the Hunter, and either Mysterio or Chameleon.

MJ will most likely also be in the next movie, as she was actually in TASM2, but all the scenes with her were cut, because Webb thought it would take to much focus off Gwen.

Here she is:

There was also one other deleted scene I wish they kept in the movie. There was scene right after Gwen dies where the Green Goblin comes down to Peter and laughs, and then Peter literally started pounding the living **** out of him, but it was cut because it was to dark for the PG rating or whatever

Lucky for you, apparently TASM3 is going to focusing on Peter getting over Gwen's death, so there will probably be MJ, but no relationship at least not till the end. As for the symbiote, I agree, if they just have Peter get the new suit and use it (show the aggression and power of course), and have him defeat the sinister 6. Then have him realize what its doing to him in the 4th movie, and get rid of it, and then face venom early on and have the whole movie about Venom.

And.. another Superhero game fail:

It looks better than Edge of Time.

Then again a 16 car pile-up ending with a large Semi Truck exploding looks better than Edge of Time.

Soooooo baaaaaad.

  • Spider-Man 2
  • Spider-Man 2000 on the N64
