2.Wraith and Graal (8x)

Probably the weapons class with the highest number of really good guns. They are all so good that it´s actually way easier for me to name my Flop 3 (Katana, Scimitar, Eviscerator). My personal favorites are Wraith, Raider and Crusader.

My top two are Raider and Claymore in that order.  After that it's a tie for third based on the role I need filled.  Wraith (melee casters though I often use the raider then, too), Venom (stagger stick +area priming for a kit with area detonation potential), Geth shotty (great on my melee geth characters due to charge mechanic, nice stagger).

I should mention that I don't have either the Venom or the Raider yet.

 

So, my favourites this far are:

1. Graal, because that gun is fun personified. I use it on my BatSent. Phantoms hate him.

2. Disciple, for lore reasons mostly. That gun found its home in the hands of my Valkyrie and it got implemented seamlessly into her gameplay.

3. Wraith. Favourite shotgun in SP, still good in MP. It was actually one of the first shotguns I unlocked, even before the Eviscerator. Well, only now I got Wraith II, but man, that gun elevated me when I was still playing on Wood difficulty. As for how I unlocked it, when I first started playing, I did the mistake of getting 99k packs. Namely, a few Arsenals and loads of Reserves. Still, Wraith. I don't use it as often now, but seeing as I have the Shotgun Mastery to re-do, it will find its way in the hands of one of my characters.

 

And yes, I know that they're not the epic damage dealers of epic, but they're fun and I enjoy using them. Seeing as I don't fall every ten seconds with them in my hands on Gold, I'd say that I am doing something right. Well, at least when it comes to the first two. The Wraith will soon make an appearance on Gold, in the hands of the ones that can make it dance.

I like almost all the shotguns, but in terms of what I use the most it would probably be these three. Venom and Wraith could easily make the list, but this was an opinionated question, so there is really no wrong answers.

On a more serious note, I'd say it's Reegar, Piranha, Claymore. Others will argue Raider should be on the list, which is probably generally correct. I would also make Claymore share 3rd place with Crusader, because I can't decide which one is better, but I lean towards Crusader more.

My three favorite shotguns are:  the Claymore, the Wraith, and the RaiderPiranhaGPSGraalVenomCrusader.  Seriously, there are a lot of good shotguns on this game.  Even the Eviscerator is better than a lot of Rare weapons.  I'd probably say the Claymore is my favorite and the Wraith is my  most used, and probably the Raider is #3.  I dislike the Reegar, but it's also extremely effective.

Quite surprised on checking my challenges to find that the order in which I've used Shotguns is -

 

GPS, Crusader, Pirahna, Reegar, Wraith, Claymore, Graal, Disciple, then a big drop to the Raider and Venom, and then the Eviscerator, Scimitar and Katana completed only once or twice.

 

I would have thought I'd used the Wraith more, and can explain the Venom as I haven't had it that long.  I don't play aggressively enough to truly enjoy the Raider, but the fact that I rarely host means I really should make much more use of it.

 

Despite using the GPS most (and loving it a lot), my actual preference would be -

Crusader

The Venom probably isn't that much better at X than at I, as long as you use the extended mag mod.  It does less damage at level 1, but it does all the other wonderful things the Venom does right out of the box.  The Wraith is pretty great at level 1 too.
