First off - apologies that this isn't technically a suggestion or feedback, but it seemed the most appropriate category to post in.

The title says it all though. Just wanted to give 'feedback' and say thanks to the team. It sounds like you guys are working really hard to provide us with a great installment in the DA series. I love that I can go on these boards and see team members chatting with the community. I know it can't be easy with fans as passionate and critical as us, but you guys take it in stride and really try to listen.

Keep being awesome and I can't wait to see Inquisition in action!

I will say "thank you" in Fall 2014 when the game is installed on my PC and ready to play.

Don't count your chicks before they hatch. :)

Not saying that the game might be bad or something, just thank the developers and BioWare when the you have the game in your hands (and it is fantastic).

yeah at the moment bioware truly has appeared to have responded to feedback. They have looked at what people liked and didn't like about the previous games and are using that to make DAI. After the backlash from DA2 a lot of companies would of just said "screw you" and would of ignored the fans out of spite. instead bioware seems to of had the maturity to take those criticisms into account and are trying to make a better game based on the feedback.

So thank you bioware. I know we are a bunch of A-holes some of the time but I for one do appreciate what you are doing with DAI. As long as you live up to your promises, DAI is looking like its going to be a great game. :)

Maybe a lot of the time,  :) but in all honesty, I wouldn't be here if I didn't love what they make and want more of what I love (said that, but it got shoved to Off Topic).

And look, in all honesty, I might not be here if I hadn't already read that they were responding to some negative DA2 feedback. Hey, honesty is the best policy.

But, look, like I said, nobody's even coming close to serving the food I love, which means not just mechanics (i.e. party-based game) but great story & character interaction. Plus a real feel that they are trying to do something more - resonant - than your average game.

Sometimes I feel no one else is trying besides Bioware. So let me take this moment to be nothing but complimentary. For that, you guys - and gals - rock.

I should also also note I know a lot of gaming companies that would never bother to put a Feedback & Suggestions sub forum on their gaming forum sites, too.

And while look, while I admit I may not always agree with everything, they take an effort to explain their decision. Many others wouldn't bother.

Everything the light touches, but what about that shadowy place? "That is the BSN, and you must never go there". And yet the devs do, sometimes to criticize, rarely to inform and often to sass. And I appreciate it, always nice to know that they look in on us every once in a while to check for feedback...and then probably shake their heads.

I must also add my voice in thanking the development team, and of course the OP for making this thread. It is always great to hear developers give such candid views on their decisions and plans, and Bioware has yet produced a game I have disliked.

Yes.  I support this thread, especially given how up in arms some people are about not getting a follower friday update today.  I am thanking you for your hard work up to this point, as well as your continued interactions with us on BSN.  I'll thank you again once I get the game in hand in a few months too.

Great idea OP! I think this thread is especially great now during crunch time, when their work hours will only get longer and more stressful. This is a kick ass group of people that engage their fans and make astonishingly good games. I remember waking up on the weekends and jumping RIGHT from my bed onto the computer to play Neverwinter Nights. Some moments in DA 2 I just savor and think, "god, this is good".

<3 Thank you Bioware we love you  <3

I am in full support of this thread. The DA Team deserves all the gratitude I can possibly dish out, for making the games in the first place, for taking the time to improve upon previous installments, for putting up with and sassing at ornery fans, and for taking some of said ornery fans' suggestions into account anyway.

You don't hear it enough, guys, but seriously. Thank you. <3

Hear, hear. I'm REALLY glad that they're being given a chance to work on this game longer and that they've shown that they've been listening to the criticisms and feedback. I really enjoy Bioware's games, even when I have a lot of criticisms, so I'm really hopeful about this one based on what they've shown so far (and also that they're being as careful as possible about WHAT they show).

Save your thanks for when the game turns out to be good.

We can thank them for their effort and their commitment to making a good game, for the long and largely thankless hours they have to work during crunch, and for their genuine attempts at inclusivity and awareness; they are, after all, one of the strongest allies in the industry to non-male-straight-white gamers.  We can also let them know that even though we may criticise them, it's because we see them trying, and they have made games that mean a lot to us, for a lot of reasons.

And when the game turns out to be good, we can thank them all over again.  After we've all nitpicked our own special nitpicks, of course.  :)

As a game developing company, they are obligated towards making a game as enjoyable as it can be for the gamers, their livelihood depends on it. You can thank them for the LGBT inclusiveness sure, since it is rare among developers even these days, but thanking them for the effort part before the game even hits the shelves is a bit much. Every game developer does that, and are paid for doing it. They don't take feedback, put up with criticism because they like it, it's because they are doing a business and they want to better their service or product.

Not saying you shouldn't appreciate it for stuff like adding a few things due to player requests(like the top-down view), but in the end it would do you good to remember that it's just a business, they aren't doing anything out of charity.

Well you're a bundle of joy today! Who goes around telling people to stop showing appreciation for something?  Yikes. You could have just stayed out of the thread.

Personally I've got a lot to thank Bioware for. The games, this community, and for giving me Inquisition to look forward to.  ^_^
