Just for fun I named most of my humans (both base and N7) with power rangers last names and randomized first names, and color-coded them to match.  The only exceptions are the Slayer (he's a Stark, obviously) and the male vanguard, who I decided to give a Russian name for no apparent reason.

In all seriousness, I name them after their builds. "4b 5a 6b. 3. 4a 5a 6b. 4a 5b 6b. 4b." So when I promote I don't have to remember how I had each class set up.

I'm not too creative about names. Sometimes I look up names, sometimes I use names of past friends/gf/pets, sometimes I just pick a name from a movie. For example my last manshep to go through the ME series as a psychopathic renegade was Darth Shepard.

N7 Fury: Eloisa. Reason: I named her after a good friend's daughter. very fiesty yet sweet.

 

N7 Demolisher: May Reason: Just because I can.

 

N7 Destroyer: Death Reason: I might change his name later.

 

N7 Shadow: Seviole Reason: After a Star Wars Fandom character.

 

N7 Slayer: Snake Eyes Reason: just because I can. Might change his name to my middle name.

 

N7 Paladin: Saibot Reason: I was bored.

 

Later on I might write down their personalities in full.
