Yep every deal with that as every mage can become abomnation and chances are high enough to be danger.

Just like every man can strangle his wife to death and emulate Ted Bundy. Yet I do not see such events happening as often as you'd have me believe.

The KomandorShepard: "But that was how world work sure it was your choice and only game but it showed that despite laws protecting guy we could beat guy on pulp with police blessing that how it works in real world as well..."

No it doesn't. Just make sure you catch it on video and let the lawyers have fun suing the pants off the community. In the real world that is.

haha naive very naive and how you will prove it?

So? What is your point? She's an "abomination" that is not possessed by a demon but a friendly spirit.

And?

Demons, Spirits, different name for the same creature.

They are all inversely negative to Humanity, They either seek to destroy or subvert or require nothing from us and thus we are nothing to them.

Its lust or Apathy, there is no friendship or compassion within them.

Don't like his hat?

Interesting considering the same spirit is what is keeping a Templar alive.

Oh but I did.

I've yet to reach the portion where every single mage is an abomination or a practicing blood mage or a general nuisance to society.

As a matter of fact, in some of the circumstances it is clearly the Templars who are at fault for producing said abominations if they are even to occur.

Clarification: I thought you were talking about the "real world" not game world.

I played both Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age and i wouldn't describe them as real world. The problem is that your comments do not follow logic. Nothing in these games are real world.

Really? What do you consider life? Body function? Mental Facility? Given that it could sunder Wynne's mind at the drop of a hat, i wouldn't necessarily call being a meat puppet life. Is it life? Do we know how that Templar is doing now?

That spirit could have already gotten her killed.

"YOU JUST BURNT THE CHANT APOSTATE DIE!"

"WAIT WHAT?! NO MY ONLY WEAKNESS! FIRE! AGHHHHH....AH...Ahhh...Gaaahhhhh."

o_o and then she dies. AGAIN!

So wait if someone will kill someone in movie it means that you can't kill someone in real world you can put realistic thing into fiction it happens all the time so well...

Don't you love twisting words? as i said it happens often enough not always as you try put that into my mouth. It happens often and games are prove...

Yes we should blame templars , humans , elves but not mages pro-mages just love throw guilt on others or because unforeseen circumstances that pretty much life is full. It doesn't matter if mage turn into abomnation because bandits attacked him all it matters that mage turned into one and in every other circumstances as well...

He said it qualifies as blood magic because it's blood powering it.

In Witch Hunt, Finn's scrying using Ariane's blood can be considered blood magic, although he says it' a grey area because the blood isn't powering the spell but it is a component of it. The Tome of the Mortal Vessel item description says that because blood magic is so stigmatized that many outright ban the study of anatomy as it's considered blood magic.

A phylactery is powered by a mages blood, and is therefore, by the Chantry's own definition, blood magic.

I will never get over this stupidity.

I half want the Chantry to crumble just so that crapola would end and we can get some Thedas doctors without everyone having to rely on damn magic for basic healing.

What else would you deem the ability to just have a spirit seize control of your body at the drop of a hat? Wynne herself admits that it occasionally does this such as when "she calls upon the spirit for help" during combat, it takes over her body during that instance. If it can do that then, why cannot it do it later?

Wynne shifts and changes her mind, her attitude and stance at the drop of a hat.

You think it is coming from a source besides the spirit?

And yeah we obviously did.

That's just mean Justinia, I don't call you Xill.

Changes absolutely nothing. They still do not become abominations as often as you think...Remember that time I beat you over the head with the codex entry that said Abominations were rare and you still denied it? Deja vu mon ami.

That's why I said in 'some circumstances'. Some mages are clearly at fault for their most unfortunate outcomes. But not a salient amount as per the literature and other media.

And yes it does matter why the Mage became an abomination, how the **** do you expect to fix this issue if you cannot find the cause? Oh but wait a minute, you want to kill them all anyway...

we arent trying to say that all mages are blameless, we are just pointing out that some templars share the blame too and that the overstatement that all mages are going to kill everyone is really really over exaggerated

The Chantry is one of the few factions that actually allow anatomical research............

And codex doesn't mean truth only what person thinks as far practice shows otherwise so please spare me that it is rare because i will laugh at it.

Templars aren't responsible in that what mages in their incompetence and power hunger doing well they should deal with such mages and they are doing that rather badly...

No it doesn't matter because simple you can be attacked by bandits we have abomnation and in thedas being attacked by bandits is common. Having depresion ,dying loved ones , desire for better life , greed , pride , lust , desires , anger 10000 other reason to become abomnation and those are common in life... there will be always excuse to become abomnation...

And what proof do we even have of that? We know they don't actively ban it, but what proof do we have that they actively use or allow such research.

Comparing a nuke to a mage is like comparing a rabbit to a ball of cotton. It's illogical, and it demeans the organism. Mages are not weapons; they are people.

Would it be more accurate then to say magic is the lethal weapon that just so happens to be permanently built into a person who will by his very nature always have his finger on the trigger whether he wants to or not?

Then who came up with the stupidity that it was bloodmagic? (NVM how on earth a non mage is expected to do damn bloodmagic anyway).
