I loved the unfortunate naming patterns in Pokemon First Gen.

I mean, Ekans, Arbok and then they give us Grimer and its magnificent evolution.

 

As for the silly designs, that's half of the reason why playing Pokemon is so much fun. Srs bznz all the time tends to get tiring. The last edition I played was SoulSilver. Till my brother snatched my PINK Nintendo DS, along with the chip itself. The irony, I had actually bought a pink one so that teenage boys wouldn't ask to play with it.

Whenever I fight a Sudowoodo, I have to keep reminding myself that it's not a grass-type.

I like Venonat, Girafarig, Corsola, and Pupitar.  Paras and Parasect are OK.  The others I will agree with you on.
