I generally avoid playing purely with strangers and it seems a very long time ago that I didn't have a mission successful. I do solos now and then, and they occasional fail. I think I get all stressed playing with just myself and try to hurry it along, but instead I just end up failing.

 

I'm so much happier when it's friendly foursome, because it's simply faster and more intense. That mission successful is practically guaranteed to happen. Threesomes can work too, but there's always the risk that the others split off into a duo. Which can leave you in a pickle if they both go down, that mission successful becomes a lot harder to achieve.

 

I think I'm bias. There's plenty of stories on BSN where someone just joins a bunch of strangers and they are completely lousy. They are selfish and don't have a clue what they are meant to be doing. There's a common complaint that they be better off without them being there and just doing a solo.

 

Do you have good mission successful rates?

A couple days ago on wave 3 Gold/Geth/Rio.  Devices.  The one on the crate in the middle of the open area on the box of shame side of the map.  The pugs insisted on just piling on it, and were good enough at reviving and gelling that by the time they all died, it was too late for me to kite the enemies away.  That was... depressing.

Everyday. Platinum Pugs are idiots and I haven't hit the point where I can clutch every wave with every character with a Shuriken I and no Geth Scanner. I know I know, "L2P Scrub."

Today, with three team mates that wouldn't gel, and we're bleeding out every wave. Stretched it out to wave 6, finished the objective then stood in ravager goo until death occurred. Don't do that often, but something about the complete lack of effort bugged me, and I wanted to find other pugs.

As for wipes despite actually trying, the last I can think of was a wave 3 wipe thanks to an untimely synch kill. It happens I guess.

A few weeks ago after drinking a couple of gallons of vodka I just couldn't summon up my usual level. An awkwardly early fail.....how embarrassing.

I haven't played with all randoms in a long time and I very rarely had a failure while doing public games with friends though I've certainly had plenty of mission failures / rage quits while duoing with TechnoTurian especially for a certain Drell Platinum challenge and a Collector Adept challenge.

Today!   High lag combined with Geth/Condor was too much. Apologies to my team mates.

 

I think I have good rate of success, I mean I wipe like once in two weeks or something like that and it´s usually due to lag... but man the feeling sucks.

One Today. Another one yesterday. At least once a day, sometimes more. Considering that I play a plethora of games everyday, most of them pugging, I can expect some Mission Failed on a daily basis.

Extraction rate on my plat pugs is maybe 70% so, everyday On gold I consider not excracting a personal failure, but for most parts I cant be bothered (or simply cannot depending on enemy, map and loadout) carry on platinum if the rest of the squad isnt trying at all.

Also lag. Russian hosts can be pain.

I pug everyday, so i get at least a couple of failed missions a day. I thought folks here would be getting mission failures on the reg...i remember awhile back there was a chart by bioware that listed how many successful extractions there was vs failed extractions...i think the ultimate result was ( i don't recall the exact number) but it ended up with most groups not extracting...     

 

So we are ultimately doing a sh**ty job trying to buy shepard some time while he tries to figure out how to stop the reapers!!...  ...i pug gold alot and while it seems like i'm extracting more often than not, i guess overall most groups are failing their assignments...i haven't seen an updated chart so those numbers could be different now..

When playing with just yourself, devices usually help you towards a mission successful.

 

I must admit it's quite disheartening the number of people saying that failures occur. I get several mission successfuls a night and that because of good friends. It might seem a little intimating at first if they are better than you at it. But go slow and relax, you really start enjoying yourself and that mission successful will more or less come to you. You too can have several mission successfuls a night. Over time, as everyone gets better working together, those mission successfuls with come quicker and more frequent.

Last week sometime when I got double banshee grabbed on wave 9. I was carrying some PUGs and pleaded with (shouted and swore at) them to nuke everything, but they didn't think it was worth it. The sad thing is I still had 6 missiles, 6 gels and 4 ops packs left.
