It's aggravating when my best isn't enough.

...set up my AHI w/ a BW and Raider for U/U/S, got dropped into a Geth/Jade game that was obviously going badly because there were already two bled out and the third character was being mobbed  by every Geth spawn at the hack zone with not much time left on the hack, and not doing too well with his Katana.

 

It was wave 3, and according to the scoreboard afterwards (I decided not to use all my Cobras attempting to save the match) they were all <N7 20 including an N7 3.

Good point. I think a lot of people can relate to that, me included...

I've learned that not everything you can do can defeat the "flaws" this game has.

This is why I avoid the themed solo challenges, I don't want this game to become about "completion". it will end up being really frustrating rather than fun, which is what a game is supposed to be played for.

Yesterday in a particularly laggy gold PuG where the randoms were all newbies (we're talking Mantis V kinda level of newbiness - not even maxxed the commons); I ran out of gels as I tend to rage-gel every time I die when an ops pack fails... and in a game that laggy... yeah.

 

 

On the plus side though, I then joined a GiP (wave 8) to see 2 people already dead and as I'm moving towards where the last guy is I hear "one enemy remains" and see that last enemy, a phantom, shank the last standing player - so the game would have wiped then and there had I not joined at that moment Justicar/Disciple/lolcolyte - shortly finished off the Phantom and we made it to extraction.

 

Wasn't exactly a quality team though, those last 3 waves were much, much harder than they should have been... but I felt like Chuck Norris from the Expendables 2, where he wanders in, saves everyone's arses and then wanders off again

A few days ago, wave 10 wipe. I decided to pug platinum so I took my BW GI and...

-Phantoms were moonwalking (laggy host)

-teammates were constatntly dying and not geling (had to solo 3 waves),

-during the wave 10 hack no one used any rockets...

You're on xbox, right? Install ME3 to your hard drive, then the game only reads the DVD at initial load.

I am pretty picky when it comes to pug matches, and the majority of random groups I have played with on Gold have been at least decent, sometimes much better than that. So wipes are generally quite rare. Last one I remember was about 5 days ago, when a buddy and I were playing a bunch of U/U/G duo matches. We confidently switched to some "not-so-brilliant-after-all" new builds, and got rewarded for that folly with Condor/Geth .

Just yesterday when I got dropped in to a lobby with two volus vanguards with the batarian biofist gloves, so I proceeded to use the same class and the brofist glove. We had people constantly joining and leaving as the fourth player, maybe because they saw three random voluses kept doing the brofist and decided to leave. We almost made extraction. It was funny to see when you brofisting someone's groin, his head explodes.

There was a praetorian coming towards the hack zone on the other side of the reactor. I approached it to get it to land and quickly ran back. Unfortunately, a possessed abomination magnet grabbed me and the praetorians lazors got me. No big deal, so I gelled. I started to run back, but then someone blew up the possessed abomination. I gelled again. Then someone closed the reactor. I gelled again. Then I noticed that the reactor door was stuck shut. /raqequit

Last time I lost was on London Collectors Gold. It was only wave three but it was data posts and the third was the middle of the map one. I was using a SI but it wasn't enough because two out of three teammates were randoms whom didn't understand to stay away from an objective.

Yeah, my internet gets spotty sometimes. After that I tried doing a couple solos and got the same results.

A few days ago on Reactor/Cerberus/Gold, had some pugs that didn't wanna do the hack in the reactor on wave 6. I had already used some gels trying to get them out of trouble, and a few rage rockets on turrets that were waiting for me while they laid next to them with gels left over. Once we got the objective and we didn't have 4 participants, I bled out first chance I got and watched them crumble with ineptitude.

 

It's not always pugs' fault, and I've had other failures in the last few days with good teammates. 

 

I also had a wave 3 solo wipe because devices on Glacier.

Although you had kinda carried me a bit up until that point, so I can't really complain too much
