You don't dip in crazy for a reason lol
I can never kill Anders because I don't want him to martyr himself for his cause. He needs to atone. I want him and Justice to be separated and there's no chance of that happening if he's dead. It says in the codex Anders considers Hawke the only reason he has retained the small amount of sanity he has left. I feel like he'd just end up going even further off the deep end without her. Justice/Vengence would end up taking over completely which would be very bad.
My Hawke ran away with him because she loves Anders and will do whatever she can to keep that from happening. If her leaving means losing himself, she'll stay with him forever. At least if they're together, he will have something apart from Justice to hold onto. She's his only chance at redemption, if that's even possible.

He'd be dipping in, not me.
We should also remember that Anders and Varric are the only companions from DA2 who are directly related to Inquisition, others companions are not even related a little bit. Varric is a companion which covers it. Anders has higher chance of appearing (if alive) than rest of DA2 companions. IF they are going to do cameos in general then I can pretty much guarantee he will appear. However they might not do cameos from DA2 in which case he might not appear.
How is Anders directly related to Inquisition? The only way he even gets close is the Mage-Templar War, but that is not related to the Inquisition.

I love when Hawke makes that comment about Justice being an unwilling participant in their threesome and Anders is like PLEASE DON'T SAY THAT hahaha. Kinda sad he'll never be with Hawke as just himself instead of Justice!Anders.

lmfao I knoooowww! poor Anders can't have anything to himself lol

Mage-templar is the second most important event in Inquisition, after veil tears. He could even be related to that too because of his condition. Still much more important than other DA2 companions regardless. He and Varric that is.

You know this how? They have never said it takes precedence of importance than any other conflict currently occurring. For example, the Orlesian Civil War part will probably be more important since, you know, we're in Orlais.
And regardless, the fact that the mages pretty much disown Anders in Asunder hardly makes his actions important. He'll be no more important than any other mage who has used extreme measures to try to free mages, like Uldred. Plus the fact that if he is dead, he'll stay dead really shows more than anything else that he is not important or else he'd get a resurrection again.
The way I see it, each companion may make a cameo with their faction:
Anders: Mages
Aveline: Ferelden
Bethany: Grey Wardens/Mages
Carver: Grey Wardens/Templars
Fenris: Elves
Isabela: Nonaffiliated
Merrill: Elves
Sebastian: Nonaffiliated
Varric: Companion

I know this because more than half the thedas know about Anders. THE guy who destroyed the chantry for the first time for thousand years. Others are practically a nobody.
All Anders fans must see this video. Its the perfect song for Anders and the creator has perfectly synced a scene from game for each sentence form the lyrics its just perfect. No other word can describe it. PERFECT.

I would bet you money 4 out of 5 people will never know of Anders. At best, he'll be known as "that homicidal apostate" or something. And even then, only really in super Chantry countries like Orlais.

He is mentioned BY NAME in asunder. Sure they might not know how he looks like, there is no internet or TV but they WILL hear the name. If you think otherwise I have a bridge to sell you.

Yeah, by the mages. Amazing how the people directly affected by his actions by having one of their Circles slaughtered because of him know his name. Random farmer #5 on the other hand will never hear about him, just "the mages attacked a Chantry building".

Please, they are gods among pitiful mortals which are "new" bands. I've been with them since 2002. Filled my early teenage years with joy.
why :'(
Because I'm afraid that the spot light beaming down on Anders has came to an end, I'm afraid.

I think lumping Fenris and Merrill into the elven uprising plot just because they are elves is kind of baseless. Merrill, I can kind of see, as she expresses some concern for the city elf plight, having lived in the alienage, but Fenris seems entirely unconcerned with it. If anything I see him taking Sebastian up on his offer to train warriors for Starkhaven's armies.

That wasn't the reason I did it, actually. Merrill I did for both the reason you stated but also because the Dalish clans may take Briala up on her offer, while Fenris I put him there because I think he'd join that faction more than any other since he hates oppressors, unless the oppressed are mages. But yes, he is just as likely to be 'Nonaffiliated'.
Anders: My time in Kirkwall gave me such a pain in the back!
Varric: I thought that was because Hawke stabbed you in the spine
