You know this how? They have never said it takes precedence of importance than any other conflict currently occurring. For example, the Orlesian Civil War part will probably be more important since, you know, we're in Orlais.

And regardless, the fact that the mages pretty much disown Anders in Asunder hardly makes his actions important. He'll be no more important than any other mage who has used extreme measures to try to free mages, like Uldred. Plus the fact that if he is dead, he'll stay dead really shows more than anything else that he is not important or else he'd get a resurrection again.

The way I see it, each companion may make a cameo with their faction:

Anders: Mages

Aveline: Ferelden

Bethany: Grey Wardens/Mages

Carver: Grey Wardens/Templars

Fenris: Elves

Isabela: Nonaffiliated

Merrill: Elves

Sebastian: Nonaffiliated

Varric: Companion

How would Sebastian be unaffiliated?  He would be with the Chantry.  They will play a major role in this game.

Because if you kill Anders, he sides with you against the Templars if you side with the Mages. He was too variable for me to tag him down, so I put that.

And that makes him important how?

Relevant*  not important and much more than other DA2 companions, except Varric.

he will side with the fuking templars because you decide to abandon him ,and cause he love you too much he prefer to die if you hate him after . i undertood his act , you need to see beyond justice's madness to understand the real emotional Anders ...if he died fo you and others , at least MY hawke loved him till the end and now , they are free together . and i will preserve that if ever the chance in the next game .

Um, I'm talking about Sebastian in that post, not Anders.

So I just noticed the grammatical mistake in the topic's title and I'm suddenly finding it exceedingly distracting. Normally I'm not uptight about that kind of thing but this one is nagging at me.

What you do is go to edit your first post, then click full editor and it will take you to a new screen. Part of that will have editing the title.

Well I always killed him in my DA2 files so I hope he won't show up in my Inquisition file. But I wouldn't mind him appearing if people let him live. So long as he stays dead in my file or I'm given the option to off him again.

I hope since I killed him in every single playthrough that he will stay dead in my game and not be like a Leilanna where he'll show up no matter what. But I understand some peeps liked him, so I am of course not opposed to him living in their game. Could be like a Wrex and Wreav type of deal if it's an important plot point/questline.

Maybe, considering he blew the Chantry in Kirkwall that started all this Mage-Templar War lol.

I prefer to see Ser Pounce-a-lot! maybe as a big mount for The Inquisitor. B)

I wouldn't mind meeting justice free Anders and back to his awakening persona that I really loved. Not the monster he has become in da2.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's found teaching children bomb making in his DAI cameo. Though it's possible that he might cannibalise them instead.

Honestly I think I'd prefer an Anders-free Justice.

I love Anders as a character, and really hope he makes an appearance in DAI if spared in DA2. To explain why...

To simply write him off as a monster or total villain is to ignore the other aspects of his character and personality that make him so interesting and complex. Yes, he does a terrible thing in the end (and before, if you include his manipulation of Hawke). I'm not denying that. However, there's a lot more to him than that. He heals refugees for free, puts out milk to try and attract a cat because he misses Ser Pounce-a-lot, plays Hawke's lute (badly) and is good friends with Varric. He is very sweet if romanced - the codex even goes out of its way to describe him as a 'tender and devoted lover', even as he becomes increasingly paranoid about the Templars (and there's no denying his one-track-mindedness where mages are concerned).

But, despite that, he still struggles to control Justice's influence over him/their joining, and does what he does in the end regardless of Hawke's love for him (or lack thereof). *That* is why I'd like to see him in DAI - the codex mentions his belief that Hawke's friendship/love/support is the only thing that keeps him sane. I want to see if Hawke's choices about him made any difference to him in the end, if he was spared... will an Anders who was loved by Hawke and ran off with him/her be any different  to a rivalled Anders who wasn't romanced? I'd love to find out. I'm not too optimistic that we will, but I'm hoping. :)

I like Anders. I want him to return, but i dont like that he suddenly changed from normal("All I want is a pretty girl, a decent meal, and the right to shoot lightning at fools.") to gay.

or does that mean Justice is gay,or girl(that could make more sense) and changed him?

but if you killed him its not possible for Justice to return becouse it will be draged to Fade along with his soul(becouse thats how it works with all abominations)

But probably the very people he healed were in that chantry when he blew it up. With their children that he healed just saying thank you to the maker for him. That thought is enough to make me sick.

Thats why a few number of people wouldn't want him back still bonded to justice. Maybe I'm one of the .00001% who feels that way but thats how I feel. Justice free anders for inquistion? Deffo.

Doubtful considering there weren't that many people in the Chantry at night and most of the people he healed were in Darktown anyways and probably not hanging out in the Chantry.

I get what you're saying though. But like I said before, I assume most people who dislike Anders killed him so this question wouldn't really apply.

Or he was just always bisexual.

i would have liked anders in da2 had they not changed him to a whiny, overly dramatic, unfunny wuss...  he was by far my favorite character in awakening, but they just ruined him beyond all redemption in da2...  so yeah, he dies

There's no real in-game evidence for that (since it was the middle of the night), only player conjecture/belief, but that's probably a discussion for another time/place. :)

Oh, yes, I would love that (if they were split)! It's just that we were led to believe that it was impossible ... but if it's not, I'd be very happy indeed!

Where did it say it was at night time cuz it looks like it was in broad day light in my game iirc or maybe I have to change my vid settings.
