Before the chantry blows up, it shows the people inside reacting to it. There are several people besides Elthina in there.
Only Elthina and some Templars.
They're not "innocent".

So you have this immense Chantry in Kirkwall and only Elthina with some Templars would be in there? That doesn't seem very logical to me.
Also, after the blast you see the fire spreading to the city. Surely that's dangerous to the common folk as well?

The Kirkwall Chantry is closed to the public at night and I never really got any impression that there was anybody else in there besides what the cutscenes showed. If there were, they should've shown it and made it obvious. Maybe its because the game was rushed and poorly thought out.
And maybe its just me, but the fires looked too pathetic. And the game hardly bothered to place ordinary NPC corpses. The explosion and debris was "contained" and went away from the city. And all we get is a blast force that didn't even go far. But theres still probably collateral damage.
seriously does somebody did care about that 'chantry' !!? what kind of good things happened there ? did we meet a a romancable compagnion there? did hawke had friends there ? did that so called grace tried to help settle down the battle she knew will turn into something bigger ? beside the facts that it was blown at night where no one have access to it ,and the 2 or 3 persons it shows there ,i dont see nothing to freak about ... the only memory i keep of it, is thats its the place where...Anders had discovered Karl was made tranquil with that damed chantry mark on his forehead . and thus killed him on Karl demand cause no one want to be tranquil . I felt nothing about the blown up chantry but a bit of betray cause Anders didnt share his thoughts with hawke...that damn vengeance took over our love and thrust....oh anyways ,just to say the chantry didnt do a damn the whole DA2.. might as well blow it to shake things up once and for all !!!
Does Anders returns ? Would this make sense if he died in DA 2? I guess if he is alive in your game you may see him.

i know , but its more about the compagnion thing i was wondering about ... of course that goes without saying that he live for me !! why else would i be concerned !! Anders if by far my favorite character in dragon age ...and hold precious informations about the next events , sure he'll be there ,but as compagnion is what i hope the most ![]()
Well, I will probably be killing his possessed corpse if he appears again. ![]()

We should make him fight every Dark Souls 1 & 2 boss ![]()

You can. My Inquisitor is the type that says, "Why don't you just execute him?"

His punishment must be much more severe
How about buying the Templars' loyalty by giving him to them?
That's not severe at all ![]()
It serves the purposes of the Inquisition. ![]()

To succeed, a revolution requires absolute dedication against overwhelming odds. At a moment's notice tides can turn and every casualty stokes the fire to win at any cost. Because the only guarantee in a revolution is that the innocents are the first to fall.
You are not giving Anders anything more than a mercy killing which is an instant death and a moment of freedom for him. He won't make a redundant return only to get killed by the player. I can pretty much guarantee it won't happen.

i didnt quite understood but ,from what i got , i'll tell you this , i for one ,will not have Anders killed if he returns . So if that count for anything ,i don't want to him to sacrifice himself ,and here am thanking every head in bioware for giving us the choice to not only spare him but also run away with him. if he truly wanted to die ,he wouldnt accept to flee with hawke . see, he still love him. even if vengeance took over him and his thoughts while planing the blow up. i will spare him as long as he give me the choice ! he doesnt need to be the sacrifice of any revolution you're talking about cause its not Anders choice , its justice's .anders choice was when he agree to run away with your hawke beause he discover he still love him ,and he still love hawke.
So if it count of anything , i'll take the risks and have him beside me fighting the undead, the templars ,flemeth ,qunari ,the open skies themself ,i do want to hold into what i built with him. whaterver the price. People might get it if it was isabela they romanced and she ,who did it . ...what do i know .... (hope you understood my point on things ^^ )
Nah, I'll still make him fight every Dark Souls 1 & 2 boss
My Hawke will beat up your Hawke.
maybe ,but you don't want to unleash hidden powers if you threaten his Anders huhuhu

He didn't wanted to die per se, he wanted Justice for the people he killed which can also be granted if he helped saving mages. My point was IF he returns the player won't be able to kill him because that is very redundant. If you wanted him dead kill him in DA2, the devs are not going to spend resources on another such decisions.
Only Elthina and some Templars.
They're not "innocent".
just thanks you .

yes i agree ,that makes sense too !! people who talk like that are haters ,they wish to kill him twice, come on ! then we must have the right to bed him twice too !

You know that there's game limitations for things like cutscenes and Kirkwall in general, which means there very well could have been more than just Elthina and some Templars

Not to mention the ginormous statues of Andraste outside that came crashing down and injured numerous people, or the debris from the explosion flying every which way.
