its so sad people only see what happen when you HATED him the whole game ,and already decide to kill him. of course why would he care if hawke didnt like him to beging with ! he wouldnt have anything to hold into anymore ..loosing Karl was already enough. Only when you romanced Anders you can understand that he never wanted to die . Not with Hawke in love with him. You might not know it ,but Bioware did something ,you guys didnt notice , they carried hawke and anders relationship till the end . yes they did , i'll tell you how it ended , Hawke looked into Anders eyes after asking why he didnt tell him anything, and saw love . And thus, he stood up and said, i love you and support you and after all this ,Anders said ,they will be hunted and hated , but that doesnt matter to hawke cause he says they will just ran away together after the last battle.
so that how it ended for the many others .
Until Hawke random vanished ![]()

You know, I really can't think of any possible scenario where Anders' return will be a happy one. Keeping in mind that Bioware feeds off of fan tears and is not privy to personal head canons. They are also the ones who started Anders down the path of spirit possession gone wrong. Personally, I think the wrongness would only get worse combined with potential guilt and madness. When (if) he does cameo if alive, I fully expect screams of 'How could they do that to poor Anders?' and 'Hasn't he suffered enough already?'

I expect we'd find him either with a group of mages or having been with a group of mages but scaring them away when he went all Justice on some Templars. Either way I picture him looking beat down and scraggly and tired. Some people assume he'd just go around being a terrorist and blowing up more buildings but I doubt that. He did his "duty" and started the war and now he probably just goes around healing people and feeling guilty and lapsing into more instances of memory loss as Justice takes more and more of him. I doubt he'll be happy or healthy in any appearance he makes, especially since even his romanced Hawke disappears on him.
If he DID show up, I suspect he'd die some point before the end of the game. Perhaps he sacrifices himself to save others or just dies sadly depending on how your Inquisitor receives him.

I wonder if Anders'll appear if you had him side with the templars?

Stopped Meredith from enacting the Right of Annulment much sooner for starters. It may have not made things better, but it was also making sure things didn't get worse either.
you mean 60sec sooner ? that doesnt count you know it .

Meredith has been wanting to do the RoA for weeks by the time Act 3 starts.
And if Elthina was going to say yes, why did Meredith not want Orsino to contact her?

I saw Anders a lot. I sympathized with his plight and actually hoped his plan well. And then he decided to become worse than anyone we encountered thus far in DA2 by murdering a Circle.

In hindsight, why couldn't he be the one who died in the Joining and not Mhairi.

She'd be a lot more boring than Anders, though, I imagine. Say what you want about Anders but you can't say he wasn't interesting! The fact that he garners such hatred is proof of that.

Anders was my least favorite companion in Awakening. He never went anywhere except for his personal quests.
Mhairi would have been immeasurably better.

Mhairi actually reminded me too much of the way I headcanoned my Warden, so I was a bit happy when she didn't stick around for the sake of not having doubles. Plus I really didn't expect her to die during the Joining so that was an effective twist!

I'm fine with disagreeing about Anders, but I have never made personal statements of Anders fans, unlike you who pretty much say my opinion, which is equally as valid as yours, as being the result of being little imagination.
