As I said in suggestions my Hero of Fereldan and Hawke are staying out of the war in my head canon but someone mentioned Morrigan is definitely in Dragon Age Inquisition and it got me to thinking.

Consider two Heroes of Fereldan Jane Cousland and John Q. Mageypants.

in Jane's game she married Alistair and became Queen of Fereldan soon as they got the paperwork cleared up on whether or not she was a consort and all. However during her travels she grew to be friends and even a sister to morrigan.

John put Alistair on the throne and let him get the revenge he so richly desired against Loghain so John and Alistair are Bros but John fell in love with morrigan and after a brief stay in amaranthine went after her and joined her and their child in another realm.

So now we're playing Bob Qunari and for all intents and purposes John and Jane's save result in the same thing. Morrigan and Alistair weren't particularly fond of each other but they both were fond of the Hero of Fereldan and the three of them like Tali Garrus and Shepard went through hell together. So if Morrigan and Alistair were to meet in Inquisition what do you think it would be like?

We know that Alistair banters a bit in Awakening when they arrive at the keep and his templar comments about a dangerous threat and Alistair quips "I know the Dwarf is a bit of an ass..." I wonder if it would be as friendly or if they'd be enemies or what.

Morrigan has been confirmed {so i'm told} for Dragon Age 3. If Alistair were to show up. And Alistair and Morrigan were lovers and friends of the Protagonist from Dragon Age 1. How does the random people that like to hang out here on the forums think the two would react to each other.

One person is married to protagonist one is a good friend. Morrigan and Alistair have a snarky relationship with each other from the get go. Now if they both care about the HoF and they both went through the Blight together as allies with a friend/lover in common how do YOU think they'd treat each other in the new game. With a more friendly but still snarky banter? their usual hostility? even more hostile then they were at the beginning of the first game? etc.

I'm not asking for facts or for a dev to drop in and say "Morrigan and Alistair meet in a pub in one level and totally have a smartass competition" I'm just asking what potential players think the dynamic would be assuming both characters meet in the new game. Some people have alistair dead, some people stabbed morrigan in witch hunt, some people had alistair hate them for recruiting loghain, etc. But for the people who managed to win over both Morrigan and Alistair how do they believe the two would behave if they met again.

Well, Morrigan and Alistair REALLY don't like each other. And in my playthrough, they had to sleep with each other. So... awkward, to say the least lol

I don't believe there paths will cross in Inquisition.  But if it does, I expect their banter between each other to likely be just general stuff from their adventures, maybe a few lines if one of them did romance the Warden, and maybe something about them sleeping together and Alistair wondering about his child(hmm does Alistair even know that he has a child from the Dark Ritual?)

They might not like each other, but I also think there is some sexual tension.

The Warden can even tease Alistair about it if you have him do the dark ritual. "You're wildest dreams are about to come true Alistair...sex with Morrigan."  (or words to that effect)

Alistair does know about the child. I found that out in my playthrough when I convinced him to sleep with Morrigan he wants to ensure his child will not be pulling the same stunt for the throne that he has to and Morrigan swears the child shall never know of his father's identity and will lay no claim to the throne. Probably because she has a more machiavellin scheme at hand and the child will have a far greater destiny then merely ruling fereldan. I do wonder though if my Morrigan Romancer who didnt do the dark ritual and instead had a normal human child with her will change the plot any different from her Old God Child or no child.

Whether Jane was a consort or not was never in question, she is absolutely a consort no doubt about it. It was whether she was a Princess-Consort or A Queen-Consort that was in question =P.

Princess-Consort and Queen-Consort are pretty much just different titles for the same thing. Neither one confers more status or responsibility actually.

Well Jane saved the world and married the king qe can drop consort all togeter and have her be a full queen. Adding consort just makes it sound like "the King's Concubine" which in those days was a prestigious position but not a position for the one who slew the Archdemon.

I think the Warden is just being an a$$ with that comment though.

My Warden was such an hypocrite: always going aout free will and not taking **** from anyone...oh Alistair, did you know ? you're now going to marry Anora, 'cause politics...oh and since I need you on that throne and because I want to keep banging my redhead assassin, you're now going to do the nasty with Morrigan and have a half-God child....

Poor Ali ;_;

Hero of Fereldan: Alistair you exist because we allow it and you will rule fereldan with anora because we demand it.

If thats not funny enough. Imagine Alistair having nightmares in bed and shouting "DESTINY! DESTINY! NO ESCAPING IT FOR ME!"

I can imagine it being a constant stream of sarcasm between the two of them, depending on who did the Dark Ritual or if the Warden romanced her. And assuming that Silent Grove might have happened in this canon, albeit slightly differently depending on Alistair's fate?

Morrigan: Ah, Alistair, you're looking well. It's good to know now you're King you have people to dress you, for you! / Good to know the Wardens have finally taught you to dress yourself! / Finally, dragged yourself from the bottle long enough to dress yourself!

Alistair: Morrigan, delighted! You know, I met your long-lost sister recently and did something I always wished I could to you... I ran her through with a sword!

Morrigan: I do hope that's not a euphemism... I can't imagine your wife would approve of your wild fantasies about another dalliance / I don't want to know about your lurid fantasies / our mutual friend "runs me through" quite sufficiently already!

Alistair: Ugh, no thank you! / Ugh, not what I meant! / Ugh, I can still remember being kept awake by you two during the Blight...

Morrigan: Still, if you killed my sister, I suppose I should congratulate you for eliminating the competition?

Alistair: Yes, that's what I expected you'd say...
