Just came across this on deviantArt -> Tyrannosaurus model for The Stomping Land project. Lowpoly game model and real-time rendering in Marmoset. Anyone feel inspired by it?

Very nice. It might be low poly, but the texture file is probably pretty big.
Low poly by whose standards though?
Textures can be reduced if they really must...
Hhmmmm...
Now I know that there are lots of books already available for the game, but when I saw this picture (and the rest to the right of it (a coffin shaped one?!?)) I had to post a link here in case it inspires someone to model it (as opposed to icons).
TR
<using some tomes and paintings...>
I want one! =)
<...to build another bookshelf>
Now here's a book that let's you know exactly what its about and you don't even have to read a single word!
TR
Those books are amazing, and certainly the stuff of NWN.
You know when you come across a real bad-guy (censored as it uses the 'A' word for donkey) when he has a humongous vulture instead of a parrot. This picture got a well deserved "daily deviation" on deviantArt.

Found a couple of pics that may be inspirational for somebody. OK the items in the first pic are real physical objects. A touch on the small side though. They might (even if a little late in the month) give somebody ideas for the current ccc. The other pic could be for either planescape or Spelljammer.
TR
OK So you wait a couple of weeks then 2 things turn up at once. First there is a bracer/archer's arm guard. The other is a wand. The interesting thing is that both of these pictures are of actual physical objects and both have descriptions of how they were made. Anyone want to try either for NwN?
TR
With this months ccc in mind I saw this and thought cool and just right for a handmaiden of ?. Hint to see the image in its original size just click on it once or twice.
TR
Hey it's zombie time again (no the picture that's linked to has nothing to do with zombies) as I add another post to this lil' ol' thread. Here is a link that should be of use to anyone that has wooden objects that need texturing. To get the most out of it either zoom in by clicking the image twice or click the download link.

Never mind monty python, here is something that really is different. It is illustrated pages from a very weird book called the "codex seraphinianus" which was written in the 1970's in a totally unknown language. I am including it here as I think some of the plants illustrated would look great in game.
TR
OK well this is different. It's a piece of news and not necessarily inspirational but may just possibly impact on what source material can be used. Anyway here is the link -> Paizo and Obsidian agreement.

Normal service resumes. Here is a small leather case for Tarot cards (want one
). While this next pic was discovered while I was looking for something else. It may not be purple but I wonder if someone on here gets up to this

I have always loved detailed leather work. So, so much can be accomplished with skilled hands and time! I sure wish I still had my drafting table and all my artistic stuff, pens, pencils, watercolors, acrylics etc... I used to spend several hours per day gleefully drawing out whatever I was fantasizing about. From animals to deep space/sci-fi type things. I even painted my ceiling with a star-scape at one point... oh, the days of being a teenager were soooo much fun compared with the real life crap we all have to deal with now-a-days....
That Dragon Pub sign would look fabulous in game as a sign... I wonder if that artist would be willing to allow one of us to capture and use the graphics?
2nd edit:
Dang it, now you have me lost for hours in purveying all the fabulous artwork on Deviant Art... I had OTHER things I intended to accomplish today... oh well.

It's as seductive as a siren's call, though a bit less deadly--that is, if you don't forget to eat and drink.

Food! That is something I had forgotten to do so far today... as in 18 hours, nothing but a single cup of coffee for input... dang it, I don't even have a beer in the fridge, unless you count that old sixpack from 2010 that is taking up the back part of my shelf in the fridge that is... not too sure if that is even still drinkable ![]()
Now I have to go see if maybe, just maybe I have some lunch meat or something I can put on a slice or two of toast for my single meal today.... Thanks for the reminder, at least I can now break away from Deviant Art, at least long enough to make a sandwich maybe.
Just found this which I think is a great reference for fungi. I believe the actual woods are somewhere in Norway.
TR
OK, I confess the link with NwN of this one is somewhat tenuous. I suppose it might inspire someone (PHoD?) to reskin a human in this style. But for me it is the expression (yes it has one) on the cat's face is absolutely hilarious! But what do you think?

That's one shocked / irritated cat! For good reason. And hey, such a skin would be of use. Torture victims, some forms of undead, Flayed Ones, Skindancers ...

Omg, I'm so hungry now. Just looking at those mushrooms at the end make me want to go out and get some fresh chantrelles. >.<
Also, here's a slightly (slightly) less realistic potential source of inspiration with fungi. It's one of my favorite zones from that game, though if it was available in NWN in some form, I think it'd make the most sense as an Underdark themed tileset.
So you wait a while and then 2 turn up at once. This first one is quite old (it was linked to from an image that had got a daily deviation). While it is reminiscent of things to be found in other games, I don't think I've seen one done with grass in its eye before. I was tempted to post it in this month's ccc but as I am posting a link to a second image, I thought I would keep both here.

Over on the ShareCG site, I've enjoyed looking through some of Gendragon's fantasy-themed works. Unfortunately, the models tend to be fairly high poly count.
