His armour really was something though *goes red*
Anyway, I genuinely think that the companion banter was the absolute highlight of dragon age two, outside of hawke's extra interactions with the arishok

Shale: I have a question it may be able to answer, elder mage.
Wynne: Must it always be "elder mage?" I am not a wizened old crone just yet.
Shale: Would it prefer, "Mage well past her prime, don't mind the sagging bits?"
(Shale near the halla pen of the Dalish Camp)
Are these pets?
Mounts?
Food?
Night-time companions for half-blind hunters?"

This will forever be my favorite.Morrigan: You seem so deep in thought, my dear Sten. Thinking of me, perhaps? The two of us, together at last?Sten: Yes.Morrigan: I... what did you say?Sten: You will need armor, I think. And a helmet. And something to bite down on. How strong are human teeth?Morrigan: How strong are my teeth?Sten: Qunari teeth can bite through leather, wood, even metal given time. Which reminds me, I may try to nuzzle.Morrigan: Nuzzle?Sten: If that happens, you'll need an iron pry bar. Heat it in a fire, first, or it may not get my attention.Morrigan: Perhaps it would be better if we did not proceed.Sten: Are you certain? If it will satisfy your curiosity...Morrigan: Yes. Yes, I think it is best.
* shudders * That conversation is always manages to creep me out.

Zevran...
(entering the Gauntlet) "I feel like we've just entered a Grand Cleric's bedchambers, where no one has gone before."
Zevran: Has anyone told you what marvelous eyes you possess, my dear?
Morrigan: Again with the flattery? Do you not tire from these pointless exercises?
Zevran: In Antiva, women are accustomed to being showered with the praise they deserve. Men should worship you at your feet as you pass.
Morrigan: They don't find that incredibly annoying?
Zevran: They are goddesses receiving their subjects, just as you should be. Whatever would be annoying about that?
Morrigan: I have no wish to be placed upon a pedestal.
Zevran: But you deserve no less. You should be admired by painters, copied by sculptors, exalted by poets! Surely you know that yours is a beauty so exotic it--it would turn the eye of the Maker Himself!
Morrigan: Well, I suppose I...
Alistair: By the Maker! You were right! You win.
Zevran: I think you owe me five silvers, yes?
Morrigan: I hate you all.

Your right about Morrigan Hrungr
Morrigan complains to the dog about giving her a dead rabbit in her underwear, and you could say as the Grey Warden "Well it's a lot less stinky than what usually goes into them."

More Zevran... being Zevran.
(entering The Pearl) "Ahhh, I grew up in a place such as this. They say you can never go home again, but for ten silvers an hour you can get pretty close."
Zevran: I couldn't help hearing about your... predicament. Forgive me if I am prying...
Wynne: Yes, you are.
Zevran: ... but what does it feel like being possessed by a spirit?
Wynne: Why does this interest you so?
Zevran: I simply wish to get to know those that I travel with. Is that wrong of me?
Wynne: No, of course it isn't. Well... let me see. It is hard to describe. It is comforting... I... I feel safe, loved.
Zevran: Comforted, loved, yes...
Wynne: It is like being held close, cradled... the bond is so complete that I am unable to extricate myself, nor do I wish to. Wait... why do you have that look on your face?
Zevran: Mmm, I... I am simply imagining it. Continue, please.
Wynne: And there is a constant warmth, that spreads outwards from the very center of my being, infusing my body with--
Zevran: Ooh...
Wynne: Andraste's grace, what are you thinking about now? No, I don't want to know. I feel dirty. Do not speak to me.

Perhaps. But you only really get the hilarious dialogue from the Humorous Hawke. And this thread should put as example on way the silent protagonist is inferior to a voiced one.
Still have to read a single banter that actively involve the Warden.

The silent protagonist is something Bioware should toss into the rubbish bin. It should never again appear in any Bioware game.

Point is that you REMEMBER it.
You remember that funny banter that involve Hawke and Isabela or anders or Aveline. Do you remember anything that Warden said? Apart the licking something in winter?

Hawke: No, you don't, Merrill.
Merrill: Oh, right! Giant creepy spiders and things live in caves! What is it I'm thinking of, then? Ruins?
Or
Hawke: Varric.
Varric: You called?
Hawke: I notice you don't have a nickname for me.
Varric: I call you Hawke. You've probably heard it once or twice.
Hawke: But that's my name. It's not like Daisy or Blondie.
Varric: All right, Waffles. You really want a nickname, I can hook you up.
Hawke: Waffles? That's... unexpected.

MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
This bit between Carver and Anders. For someone that's put down upon in Act 1, I always snicker at this well timed burn against Anders. I don't hate Anders, but Carver has an excellent point.

Oh i forgot to put one of my favorite
Magistrate: "I need someone with your skills."
Hawke: "I'm guessing you don't mean my ability to juggle small rodents while humming Orlesian ballads."
Magistrate: *destroy half of his neurons imagining the scene"

Anders: You don't like me, Carver?Carver: I don't like you.Anders: That's unfortunate. Hating someone just because they're a mage is a shameful thing.Carver: I don't hate you because you're a mage. I hate you because you won't shut up about it.
Best line from Carver =)) I rolled a mage just to hear that lol

Would this count?
Delilah: He's so much better than that stuck-up Cousland boy father kept trying to set me up with.
Cousland: ...I'm standing right here.
