That's good, but it's a DA:A one. There are a few in DA:O with Alistair, when he talks about being raised by wild dogs (like that explains the smell).

I looked up some of the wardens quotes from a previous BSN thread, I wasnt likely to remember much as I havent played origins in years..

 

* Warden: "Alistair, she's one archdemon short of a blight."

* Alistair: "Yes, but she seems more... "Ooh, pretty colors!" than "Muahaha! I am Princess Stabbity! Stab, kill, kill!"

 

 

.to the merchant: ''I hear you're making a killing, me too! {kill him}'' 

And then to Leliana, when she persists in the tavern. ''I'm going to say this slowly: You. Not coming.'' that cracked me up for some reason ^^



And breaking up with Leliana can be pretty blunt, too...''Morrigan was better in bed.'' ouch! My jaw dropped when I saw that option. Excellent.

 

Shale: Give me a command.

Warden: Throw Oghren as far as you can.
Oghren: Hey! No dwarf tossing!

 

Looking at these I concede that Warden was perhaps less humorous than Hawke, though since every warden could be a completely different sort of person, and you could specifically choose a humorous hawke thats hardly surprising. Morrigan and alistair more than make up for the wardens lack of personality.

 

I still prefer the silent protagonist.

Reminds of me of this little gem when you do agree to recruit Leliana:

 

Morrigan: You must have cracked your head worse than I thought.

 

 

Oh wow.  Here's a nice exchange between Morrigan and Leliana.  They both get in a couple of good shots in.  This occurs when you're trying to romance them both (you dog you! ):

 

(If the Warden has slept with Morrigan, but not Leliana there is a little change in the conversation)

 

Morrigan: You can't possibly think he would prefer you?

Leliana: Funnily, I was about to say the same thing to you.

Morrigan: And yet he and I have made love. Did you know this?

Leliana: I... suspected as much. All the better, as he will soon discover you have nothing else to offer.

Morrigan: The world of flesh is one of many weird varied delights. What do you think that he will do when he discovers that you offer only frigid incompetence?

Leliana: If we reach that point...if we do... it will be because we love each other.

Morrigan: And yet love grows rotten on the vine so quickly. A sour fruit that offers only a memory of sweetness, what is it worth, truly?

Leliana: Everything; only a dried up shell of a person would not know that.

Morrigan: We shall see.

I've got no contributions that haven't already been posted but I must say: best thread ever.  i had no idea Zevran was so hilarious.  He's so underpowered when you finally get him I never bothered using him.  I'll have to make him a consistent part of my party on the next playthrough.

More like this post should be an example of confusing, yet again, writing and voiceovers.

The reason you don't see any banter quotes from the Warden it was because there wasn't any per BioWare decision not to include her/him in them but you know, they could've easily decided the other way around. It's not like it's technically impossible to have subtitles for a character lacking recorded voice. And that there's so many 'funny' lines people quote from Hawke is thanks to the writers' obligation to craft one of these per each turn of the conversation. If they're under the same obligation when writing for the previous game, you'd see similar amount cited, simply because if you hear a thousand jokes there's good chance you'll remember and/or like a ten of them or so in the end.
