While i dont approve of piracy, there is no "major jail time" tied to it, its more about money then anything, and you are more likely to face heavy fines then actual jailtime (companies dont care if you sit in prison, they just want their money).

Acccctually, there IS jailtime.  My brother-in-law's best friend was just recently send to Federal prison for pirating DVDs.  One of his Ex gf's decided to be a little vindictive and reported him lol.

I said there is no "MAJOR" jail time, not there was none at all. And if he went to jail then that means he refused to settle (since thats always the first option when they go to court), and that he must have been heavy into piracy since they dont typically go to court with people who barely ever do it, and when they do..it tends to make headlines.
