So how major do you think our decisions will be and how will they affect companions?

So I was just wondering this today while reading some more about Vivienne.  One thing I hope is not the focus but will play a large part in the game is the Mage rebellion.  I am hoping we as the Inquisitor will be able to push the conflict on way or the other. But in the description of Vivienne it says she is not in favor of the rebellion and has no hesitation to make this known.

So I was wondering how my actions will affect this.  If I support the rebellion and tare down everything that is important to her (the Cercal and all her political power) Will I get a few lines of dialogue where she is pissed at me but oh well.  Or will she downright turn hostile and leave to work against me.  I am just hoping things like this play more of a role this time around.

Same thing I guess with Cassandra if you somehow get a chance to limit the Chantry's influence in the world she might turn on you.

And again If they do turn on you I hope its more then a "Hay your a jerk!"  Fight and they are dead.  It would be fun if they actually leave you and join forces with your enemies.  I don't know how this would work exactly but it would be epic.

I'm hoping that if you really ****** off a companion or if they disagree with your methods enough they will leave and work against you or even try to kill you and I think this will be the case. Bioware has really pushed hard that your decisions really, really make a difference. I have a good feeling when I play that Vivenne will probably leave.

I'm expecting the same level of choices and consequences as in their previous titles when it comes to companions.

Which has been more than great IMHO.

Thats why i want quick kill for companions that have contrary goals or views instead wait so they could betray me and another dumb plot with protagonist being retarded and shaking his head being surprised like hawke was doing for entire game...

emmmm....

from a gameplay video of DAI. this business with the village.

first of all i don't understand why you can't keep soldiers out of the skirmish in the village by sending them to the keep and killing invading forces in that village just because you feel like it. Why only one but not both? anyway.

Varric voice his displeasure by such decision, touching dead body (of a man he never knew or cared) and saying "bad Inquisitor, bad, no more candy for you."

My first thought was: is he a ******? there is more at stake than few lives here and there. And having garnison of the keep killed or soldiers on the road massacred is a better way to do it?

Anyway i just hope choices and impact of these choices on a world and companions would have some sense behind them. Because this particular scene with Varric made me facepalm a little bit.

If you're good enough, you can actually save both.

It would be nice if companions could leave the organization if you work counter to their goals or even try to turn your soldiers against you. At the same time though I believe you should be able to convince them that they are bigger issues at hand or even convert them to your way of thinking. Naturally converting them should be difficult and not only depend on your persuasion skills but your results. If you can spin around and say.

"You said A wouldn't work but it did. You said B wouldn't work but once again I made it work. C went off perfectly despite your beliefs. Now you want to argue over D? Get it through your head that things don't work the way you believe and shut up."

That or. "Why are you even worried about political power in the circle? I'm pretty sure your lieutenant status here grants you far more authority then you'd ever have as a first enchanter."
