but I agree w this, part of why Cassandra is so amazing in my eyes is her strength. I feel like a lot of the characters in DA are supposed to be "fixed" by the PC but I don't get that vibe from her.

So here is my subjective opinion.

 

• Varric: 4. Not the man I would romance, though he's an awesome buddy. I don't find him attractive, since his facial proportions are a little...askew towards the chin?
• DHMG: 7. He has a nice face. What concerns handsomeness, I am torn how to think about his mustache: It looks awesome, but makes him older. But since we love characters for their appearance as a whole / charm / charisma / ..., and not only for their looks, I think the mustache fits his dandy attitude, and hence I like the mustache on him.
• Solas: 3. The more hair a man has, the better. It can't be long enough. This is the reason for:
• Beardy: 9. Overly manly man who looks sad in the rain. Dat beard. Dem eyes. Why I didn't give a 10: In the gameplay footage, he looks slightly older than in the concept art. But still amazing.
• Cullen: 7. I don't find him sooo attractive, but compared to the other companions, he is ok. Boy next door.
• Iron Bull: 5. I don't find the qunari sexy in the previous games (grumpy Sten was funny ), since their faces are very crude. (as with DHMGs moustache, it may look odd but fit their personality). IB had a more balanced face than other qunaris in the concept art, so I like him more than them. But if it's really him in the trailer - then he looks crude again.

 

• Cassandra: 8. I like strong woman in games. Not the eye candy look, but that look of strength and independence.
• Vivienne: 8. Beautiful and special, though funny clothed.
• Sera: 6. I don't know what to think of her appearance. She may have a harmonic and nice face, but is not special for me. Don't know why.

I can't really tell because we haven't seen finalized designs for half of the companions at this point. It's kind of strange to judge until we actually see them in-game. 

 

I guess I could rate Vivienne, Varric and Cassandra but that's about it. And all three of them look pretty damn good to me (aside from their in-game hair which I REALLY hope looks better in the final product).

Iron Bull, The Warden are 10's

Cullen's a 9, but his personality kind of ruins it. However, he may change in DA:I.

Solas is just okay looking for me. Maybe a 6 or 7.

Varric is a 7.5

I havent seen enough of DHMG

Girls are girls, but I will attempt.

Vivenne is pretty and has a great wardrobe so I suppose 10, however her view on mages kind of ruins it.

Cassandra, ehh. 5 or 6.

I havent seen enough of Sera.

Hmm. So far for me personally?

 

Cassandra- Pretty much my kryptonite. Short dark hair, plus strong warrior woman, plus fairly attractive-looking? Do want. 10/10

 

Sera- Don't know too much about her yet, but she has been hinted to have a dirty mind which is always a plus in my book, and her concept art is pretty. 8/10

 

Vivienne- Just doesn't do it for me all the way around. The courtly emphasis on appearance over substance is big turnoff. 5/10

 

Scribe Woman- Not enough info, really. ?/10.

 

The guys don't interest me in terms of attractiveness.

[Spectre Impersonator]

Will include personality in this hotness scale...

 

Iron Bull - 10, a new kind of hot. A man's man with the ability to simultaneously laugh and kick ass and wear horns that indicate he can satisfy three women at once. Or men, if that's his deal.

 

The Blonde Elf Chick - 10, funny lady. She may be an elf but she's shown more personality than any of the others in one bit of concept art. I like her big mouth and smile. Will probably bang.

 

So-called Scribe - 9, physically hottest chick so far. And other than that I know nothing about her.

 

Moustache Man - 8, the smart-ass gentleman. I'm merely working under the assumption that this guy will be very witty and laid back and generally cheerful. I know nothing about him other than his concept art reminds me of Lord Littlefinger, except nicer. Maybe he won't even be a companion.

 

Cassandra - 8, Aveline 2.0? I liked her in DA2. She's aggressive and brave but can be reasonable when you're reasonable back. Nice eyes, nice voice, obviously in shape. I don't care much for her clearly self-cut hair but whatever.

 

Varric - 7, bromance could make romance awkward. I love Varric but it might be weird to romance him after getting to know him on a strictly platonic level. He's the only companion we really know so far and what I know is positive. Rougue with a heart of gold... the Han Solo archetype.

 

Solas - 6. Don't know much about him yet but he loses points for being an elf because elves are often lame. Don't care that he's bald. If he doesn't go about whining about being a mage and having no freedom the whole game (as Anders did), I'll probably like him.

 

Cullen - 5. He's pretty generic looking. Never shown much sense of humor or sympathy towards mages. I like templars because they have cool armor and have special mage-fighting skills but as for the character, he's kinda boring.

 

Vivienne - 2. She's attractive enough, but she seems like a snooty ****** from what I've read on the character so far. Also has a dumb hat and expects to be taken seriously. Last resort romance.

Hmm let's see. So far only Cass, Vivi, Varric, and Cullen are the one I know fairly well. The rest I've only seen in footage / concept art so I can't really tell. Anyway, my score is like this:
With personalities:

Cass: 8/10: She's strong, she's serious, and she's beautiful (I found women with strong jawlines so sexy ). Happy she's our LI, probably my first inquisitor will be head over heel for her.

 

Vivi: 9/10: One word: Fabulous. Her sassy personality plus her awesome look made her my instant favorite (so far). Though I don't think she will be a LI (Nooooooo.....) since Cass already filled the "serious" LI slot. Damn it....  

 

Varric: Romance: 1/10. Bromance: 10/10. He's like Garrus to me, a total bro. Probably best bro in the game. I can't see him in any other way though lol He does look a lot better in DA:I too. Now, I need to find a beautiful lady and play "Haaaaaaaave you met Varric?"

 

Cullen: 5/10: All I can say is "Meh." Nothing too stand out. Probably not a guy I want my dear female Inquisitor to date. 

 

Look only (based on concept art / footage):
 

Grey Warden: 9/10 Now that's a type of man I would want for my fem Quisie. Big, Strong, Awesome beard. We have too many pretty boys already, time for some good old manly men

 

Solas: 6/10. I don't like his look :/ Maybe his personality might change things, but as of now, I'm pretty sure he will be staying at camp most of the time.

 

The rest, well, we just don't have enough info on them for me to tell.

Hopefully we will get to know more about other companions soon
