I always maker Carver a warden. I think Bethany was happier in the circle without the whole death-sentence thing, but Carver does well from having some degree of purpose in his life. Warden Carver is among my favorite characters in DA2 
. I enjoy how he can trade jibes with Isabela and then go to being totally awkward over Merrill.

Which is fair. With time comes some reflection and perspective, and upon hearing the news initially I think a lot of people (especially with the way Cameron ended up wording the whole thing) were afraid that they'd be losing options and the ability to choose.

Indeed. In my mind, I am ok with sacrificing more choices in pursuit of a fully gay companion, which I am dearly excited for. The only downside is that for others, it restricts the choices and closes some off from them, and it hurts to see some people so disappointed.
