I quite enjoyed seeing character develop relationships outside of the main character too.
But come on those threads were hilarious!
I actually hope that there are character romances that happen between NPCs.
Just so we can see the return of threads like "I GAVE ISABELA TO THE ARISHOK! FENRIS IS MINE MINE MINE MINE! EVEN WHEN I DONT ROMANCE HIM!"
Cause those were always funny.
Then again I hope we dont get love triangles forming.
Like in Baulders Gate with Aerie and that other chap...yah that was weird.
Its been hinted that other characters will get together if you dont romance them.

Them, not as much since they never had a relationship. They were just sex friends at best.
Garrus and Tali in ME on the other hand, yes. Shame too since they are my favorite LIs.

Oh, I hope hope hope we can play matchmaker to some degree with companions. It is one thing I love doing (meddling in the love affairs of my companions, hah). I enjoyed Aveline and Donnic, but I want to do it on a companion+companion level.

There was a rumor I heard about Varric not being romancable but the Inquisitor possibly helping him reunite with the real Bianca. Don't know if its true but I would LOVE it if was.

I actually prefer stuff like this as I find it helps with the feeling that the characters are somewhat autonomous and pursue their own interests.
