For me it's more like my PC kills thousands of people in these games without always knowing their back stories and motivations so can I really play the morality game and kill other characters over it? When others kill people in video games I can't bring myself to care too much even if they were innocent game people Aka why I can easily still like characters like Loghain and Anders and Isabela even if I recognize the bad stuff they did. As long as my PC or future PCs can fix the train-wreck in some way and I can find the characters relatively likable and interesting, everything's cool.

That's exactly how feel about "evil" companions, I don't know why but I just don't care... They're often the ones I like the most..

Should never have been allowed within the city walls. As for the tome, it was the spoils of the exalted marches and I'm quite happy for the qunari never to get it back. Given my characters penchant for liberating objects from locked boxes it would be a bit two faced to take issue with someone with the skill to pull off such a heist too.

Except that the Orlesians wanted to give it back to the Qunari before Isabela stole it...

I actually really loved the relationship between Aveline and Isabela, particularly when they were good friends in Act 3.

Yeah, Aveline never disliked Isabela for her promiscuity. Aveline disliked Isabela for being selfish; after Isabela's "selfless" act in Act 2 they grow a lot closer.

I'd be surprised if the Big Bad of the game is an LI.    

 

I really would not be surprised to see anyone at the war table as an LI.  I have preferences for what I want or would like to see, but no one would "surprise" me.

Eh, it felt really nasty to me. I mean Aveline just throwing around words like "****" all the time. Thats the whole relationship. When Isabelas life is in danger, she doesnt care and in fact she is against helping her in Act2. I mean do Avelines quest instead of Isabela and you lose her permanently. Sten and Dog have seem to have a more mutual friendship than Isabela and Aveline.

I dont know, it seems more and more often in media that guys get friends, and women get frenemies. I dont mind ribbing like Varric and Carver, but when the whole basis of a relationship is who can insult the other more? It seems hallow

Yeah this. I dislike Isabela but that was more Peatrice's idiocy than anything.

 

That said I wouldn't kill Isabela over the slaves thing that after all had nothing to do with my character and since I don't recruit her there's no betrayal to be upset about *shrugs* best solution for me.

Eh, it felt really nasty to me. I mean Aveline just throwing around words like "****" all the time. Thats the whole relationship. 

 

And Isabela repeatedly makes fun of/insults Aveline for being "masculine" and "manly."  That is equally nasty to me.  Both are in the wrong, imo.  One's ****-shaming, the other is insulting womanhood for being something other than a very narrow view of what women should be.  

 

Reading in the codex that the two of them were friends was difficult for me to believe.  If they wanted to portray an antagonistic friendship, I wish they would have stayed away from using those kind of insults.
