That's something I can't grasp. Not really. I respect all religions, but when people put religion above thousands of innocent lives, it seems... creepy. Reminds of the Dark Ages, to be specific. And that is something I cannot and do not approve.

How did she? Even if one is not religious, destroying such a healing thing is just a waste. It is useful
Not to mention, one may exist, be alive, yet lose everything human about them, including morals

How would defiling the ashes save thousands of lives though?

I only preserve the ashes because of their miraculous healing properties.

The Tome of Koslun has no such attributes, I'd happily burn it.

The Warden needs all the help he/she can get, right? In order to fight Darkspawn threatning all humanity. Being a Reaver is something that can add chances to win this war.

I wonder sometimes, what would Andraste herself say about what's going on with her cult in Thedas and if is is justified to sacrifice her ashes if in could help saving people. She was a human, and she knew that winning a war is never a clear path. She sacrificed a lot in order to reach her goal. She was a warrior who knew what the costs are.

It's a neat justification in attaining the personal power. Helps with blood magic too. And demons. And many other things. In fact, you can justify almost anything with saving people's lives.

Who would win from this - the warden or people? The warden is a great warrior either way, they don't need it to win.
Not to mention that helping a psycho clan responsible for many deaths and worshiping a dragon like some wicked ancient magisters is not sensible at all

I don’t want to be a jerk, but those kind of topics only bring arguing and are far off-topic.

Yeah, a lot of this is waaaaay off topic. We should probably at least try to keep it to past choices concerning romances, if not thoughts on the current potential LIs. lol

You are right, I guess. Anyway, my initial point was that Wynne's reaction was the fact that turned me away from her. That's all.

I never justify Isabela stealing the Tome. I always have the Qunari take it back to Par Vollen.

I did that for a few times but then I read the comics and I felt uncomfortable continuing that with option. I agree though, there is no justification by any means.

The real question that bothers me, whom to romance except Cullen? Yeah, I know, Cullen sexy cool and all that, but not all people like these type of guys ( myself included ) And I don't see anyone who can become Inq another option.

Varric and Iron Bull? - too exotic.

Solas and warden? - one of them too bald and another is too hairy. Solas had such a badass hairstyle on early concept, why they decline it? Shaved Warden may be extra cool, but I doubt warden agree to shave his beard >_>

DHMG and blonde rogue - one of these can be our second option, but I heard 0 info about them. May be DHMG gay or married, may be blonde rogue even not a Cole ( still have no idea why people think it is Cole )

May be I have not enough info and worry too much. Just don't want to end up with only Cullen option for straight female. -__-

Just curious, what is the type you'd want? Why DHMG and blond rogue, but not Cullen?  I just wonder, because it seems like they're all closest to the same "type".

Same here. GW and Cole are pretty much the only options for my bi female Inquisitor - and they are likely to be unavaliable.

Cullen is pretty but I don't like his personality at all, let alone he's a templar and I don't like templars.

Solas is not my type of attractive males, and DHMG could be gay for all we know.

Cassandra and Vivienne are not to my liking, taking into account their looks or their personalities.

So here we are with only options of Sera or Scribbles (which we know absolutely nothing about), and no male LI at all. That sucks.

Well there are Varric and Iron Bull to it, but I think those won't be LIs too.

Because he was in the survey labeled as a rogue, and that his apparence totally match his description.

I personaly want someone like Sand from neverwinter 2. Sarcastic clever type. But because we know nothing about DHMG and BR can't say anytning about them.

Well, I got Cassandra so I'm happy.

As for the male LI's, I think some people are just going to have to get used to the idea that at least one of them won't match the Bioware mold, either by being exotic(Iron Bull), short(Varric), sporting significant facial hair(Beard Warden), or being bald(Solas).

From what I heard about Cole, he is blonde kid with knife. On screenshot I see tall male with two swords or daggers. The only things they share with Cole - hair color and dagger. Zevran also rogue with blonde hair and dagger =)

Ah, I see. So, it's more a personality thing than an appearance thing with Cullen? I can see that.

I don't think Iron Bull, Varric or Warden would be LIs. The chances are low. Although I wouldn't mind at all if they were...

Cole doesn't look like a kid in Asunder, he looks about 20 years old in the book.

Also, Zevran is an elf ;)

Yes, definitely. Cullen is not ugly but many don't like him for his issues.

Cole is actually described as being rather tall. He's got a youthful appearance, looks to be about twenty-ish, but is still rather tall.

Man, I don't put DHMG and Cullen anywhere near each other, but that is probably because I actually know stuff about Cullen. I already resent he's almost certainly one of my options (straight chick, although I'll play dudes ... who are bi). I have never, ever, ever understood why he has such a following. And I'm totally ready to be sad if my lady inquisitors will never get to stroke that sweet, sweet mustache.

The only way to soothe me is to give me Varric.

Hm... after such info it can be Cole, but hey, how can you romance a ghost or demon or spirit? If Bioware can write such a relations it can be wery intriguing, much creative, non standart.

At this point I'm not willing to speak on anyone's chances with any degree of certainty, beyond Cassandra and Cullen who we know for sure will be LI's, and Cole, who we know for sure won't be.

I understand the arguments for and against all the companions for LI's, but I think they're built largely on preconceptions of Bioware's track record; Bioware certainly has a type, a mold for LI's, but they've subverted and broken that before, and I'm not going to bet against them doing that again until we have more info.
