At this point I'm not willing to speak on anyone's chances with any degree of certainty, beyond Cassandra and Cullen who we know for sure will be LI's, and Cole, who we know for sure won't be. 

 

I understand the arguments for and against all the companions for LI's, but I think they're built largely on preconceptions of Bioware's track record; Bioware certainly has a type, a mold for LI's, but they've subverted and broken that before, and I'm not going to bet against them doing that again until we have more info.

 

Of couse, we know little about most of our future companions, all we can do - discussion, speculations. Just want to say, usually Bioware give us companions whom I really like and enjoy romance with. Start from Valen and finish with Fenris. DAI - first game when I'm not sure who will be our second male li. And it makes me to worry a little, I'm just share my worries with you.

 

At least we are back to romance discussion =)

Well, I got Cassandra so I'm happy.

 

As for the male LI's, I think some people are just going to have to get used to the idea that at least one of them won't match the Bioware mold, either by being exotic(Iron Bull), short(Varric), sporting significant facial hair(Beard Warden), or being bald(Solas). 

 

What if the male LI are just Cullen and DHMG? Nothing broken here...

 

On top of that, some of the LIs might not even be on the 12 apostles shot if they are NPCs.

Well DHMG does rather scream "Look at me, I'm romance bait." (in the best possible way). Especially if the survey description of Dorian is accurate. I'd say Varric for the third slot. He's someone a lot of people have asked for and he's already back. Warden and Solas are also possibilities. IB seems too "out there" and also in the tradition of Wrex, Canderous, Black Whirlwind and Zaeed.

In all honesty, I'd be quite disappointed if that was the case.

 

I also don't care for the implication that only "pretty" guys deserve to be male love interests.

To me, Cass/Viv and if we go by Hinata's possible description of Sera are the only ladies that interest me rn with Cass being the main priority for my ladyquizzy, because she was fantastic in DA2 and i was pinning for her since then.

 

 

I don't see why she should be straight instead considering how many people liked her back then, women and men. That would be unfair if such awesomeness like Cassandra ends up being dude only.

 

 

As for scribbles im sooooo not interested in her and it would be even worse if she ends up as the lesbian one.

"To pine" is etymologically related to "pain," which is what I think some people may end up with if they pine too much. Is all I'm saying.

 

Actually I was talking about the male love interests. The chances to get the female LI you want is high compared to the males. I'm not good at maths. Excluding Leliana there are 4 female characters that we know of. More than one option for every type of player is the goal. That means at least two options for lesbian Inquisitors. Two out of four makes 50% chance I think... Let me draw a picture real quick.

 

 

Green means that character is an option for a lesbian Inquisitor. Red means that character is not an option for a lesbian Inquisitor.

 

Either Vivienne and Cassandra are the options, or Vivienne and the scribe, or Vivienne and Sera, or Cassandra and the scribe, or Cassandra and Sera, or the scribe and Sera. Whichever way it goes there is a 50% chance to get the romance option you are hoping for or not.

People talk. Unless a dev confirms anything I wouldn't bet on it. Doomed? You'll only be doomed if you've convinced yourself that you can only be happy if Cassandra is an option for you. Looks are important, but maybe you could consider that we know very little about their personality. I'm not suggesting you should stop hoping for Cassandra. I merely suggest you don't exclude all the other possible options if you don't want to end up feeling dooming.

Who says Leliana won't be available? They've said before that doing romance arcs for previously romanceable characters was unlikely, not that it would absolutely never happen.

I've made one for the male characters as well. I'm not sure it's correct. Like I said, I'm not good at maths.

 

Same as before, green means they're available love interests for male Inquisitors, red means they are not. The minimum of two options make up various combinations. Including the blond character every male character has a chance of 6 out of 21 to be available. That's a chance of 28,6% meaning there's a 71,4% to get disappointed if really only want DHMG for example.

 

 

 

Without the blond character the chance is 5 out of 15, which is a 33,3% chance and a 66,7% chance to get disappointed if you only hope for one character.

I want to wall of text something but I dont see the need.

The game will come out, people will be mad that their preferred LI is not available as they want, rage will ensue. 

I just fail to see the reason why being denied a character is causing so much anger.
