I looked at Mass Effect 3 solely as an individual game. I would not judge Inquisitions LI dynamics based on DA2, so I will not judge ME3's LI dynamics based on the previous games, save import or no save import.

My guess at the moment for Inquisition is:

Cullen (female only), Male Mage (male only), Solas (male or female).

Scribe girl (male only), Sera (female only), Cassandra (male or female).

I feel more certain about the characters I listed than the sexualities I assigned them. For the female ones in particular, I really don't have a clue at the moment. Also note that this is what I expect, not necessarily what I would prefer, though I definitely want a 2/2/2 setup.

It will be a sad, sad day if DHMG is a male only LI.

Ahh, so many people are going to be disappointed with not romancing the character they want if they go the 2/2/2 route. :P That's why the best solution is the all-bi.

What if Viv is the gay lady one (i would totally be fine with that)? I personally don't want scribe girl or whatever her name is as the gay only romance. :/

Why not? Vivienne is from Orlais, and the Circle. It is quite common there. And since Vivienne adores rolais and its culture and thinks of herself as a true orlesian citizen...

I won't. Sure, if IB can't be romanced by my female qunari or elf, then it's gonna be a bit of a bummer, but I always can create a male character for a romance with him

Dang, my male dwarf fits perfectly such a role

Well, I would be sad if DHMG told me he was only into dudes. But then I'd possibly have Solas to comfort me, or at least Cullen.

I think it does actually make it more interesting that way. In DA2, I was simultaneously flirting with both Fenris and Anders, and actually liked Fenris more. But just cos of the order I did quests, I ended up sleeping with Anders first, and Fenris no longer wanted me :( Which was sad, but made things more interesting.

Yeah, I was all for the 2/2/2 route because of realism...until I realized there was a decent chance the LI I want may end up falling on the "gay" end of that spectrum. So now I'm torn.

I think it would just encourage me to mix up how often I play male characters in my later playthroughs.

Maybe you can, but I can't. I prefer to play ladies and romance ladies, only.

Ha.  And I kind of went in the other direction.  I'd be okay with a 2/2/2 split, particularly because I kind of want sexy DHMG to be gay.

Well, that's your way. For me, though, having a organisedm suymetric and equal amounts of PCs is a normal thing. Two dudes, two girls at least. Races also diffirent, as well as classes. Etc.

I want DHMG to be available to me, but I don't care if he's actually gay. I'd be happy if he and everyone else were bi, so everyone could have the option they wanted.

If the choices are only gay or straight, though, I want him to be gay, for sure.

I feel the same but in my case, I prefer to play ladies and romance the men.  If there are four companion romances and 2 npc romances, I still hope they make them available to all players. Frankly, I think any restrictions should be made based on the choices I make for my character and not gender or race. (Example, if I burn down a village for laughs - which I could never do- then I fully expect Cullen to break it off or be offended.)

I only play male characters that romance males and I feel the same as you do on the subject.

Same. I can't roll a girl for the life of me. I'd much prefer to play a guy and romance a guy.

Btw, absolutely love the new avi!

I only ever play a male in games with romance options, but I still would rather they go the 2/2/2 route, even though it will give me less choice (though admittedly I am hardly starved for choice in the first place). I just still put having an openly gay companion above the extra choice, and if they do go with 6 LI's and a 2/2/2 split an openly gay companion is practically confirmed.

Bummer.

I hate restrictions. I prefer playing male, and want to romance whoever I want. Its not about making them bi/gay, is just that I dont like playing female, and I want all the romance  options to be available.

I'm torn. I really like the idea of all bi, because then every romance is available to me even though it probably means there won't be much of a difference in the way they interact with the player and I would prefer something unique. At the same time though, I liked Mass Effect having straight, bi and gay characters. Probably because whilst it shut people off to me, I quite enjoyed that not every LI was in love with the player character just because they are the hero, you know?

I don't like straight romances though so knowing my luck, if it is mixed preferences, the straight characters will be Solas and Viv or Cass, because they are my favourites so far and that seems to be just how my luck goes haha.

I hope they still will be. They haven't said it wont be all bi/vague/playersexual, but they haven't said it would be either.

Viv? Don't worry, even if 2/2/2 will return Vivienne is the lleast possible candidate for a straight LI
Now, Cass though...

I think whatever romances end up being the one important to the plot (like Alistair/Morrigan/Anders/Isabella) will all be bisexual so everyone has equal opportunity to experience that. At least I hope so, that seems the most fair.

My guess, based off the cover, would be that it's Solas and Vivienne (since they're both on it), but it seems a little weird to me that both "important LI's" would be mages. So maybe Solas and Cassandra.

Or they could have just used Solas and Viv cos they had the most distinctive head shapes and they were far off in the distance, so it could be anyone!

I think there's a pretty good chance Vivienne wont get LI status, at this point. I wouldn't honestly be at all surprised if Cassandra and Solas are straight.

I really want to have our first gay male companion ever.  If it were DHMG, I'd be over the moon happy.  We've had straight, bi, and lesbian (Juhani) companions before but never a gay companion.  I just want one, then we can go right back to all bisexual LI's.  Please, just let me be a little selfish this once!
