I'm lucky, in that I am perfectly happy to play either gender, so I'll be pretty content as long as the dude I'm interested in (DHMG) is available for SOMEONE, and I would be pretty dang shocked if he wasn't. I'd rather he was bi, but that's probably not surprising. :P

Aimin' for Cass?

Not really, but I'll take her :)   Or any of the other female companions really.

I prefer Vivienne but I bet it's not happening.

"Eventually, the Inquisitor died alone and was partially eaten by her dozens of cats. The End."

LOL   Sadly this is looking like a very likely possibility for my inquisitor. There are pretty much only two guys I like, and one of them will probably be straight while the other is the least likely (other than Cole) at being a romance, period.

I liked Jacob, but I hated, with a capital H the way they had Shepard talk to him like a cat in heat.

Agreed. I wanted to say 'hello' and suddenly my character sounded like she wanted to jump his bones. I never spoke to him again outside of the loyalty mission.

Vivienne is the best. Don't pull out, babe. That's the mistake the Americans made. She's prime, you just need to know what to say, how to say it and when to say it. As provided by big daddy Bioware.

Ssssshhhhh sh shs shhhh. Shhhh. Don't.

:(

Though, it seems to me (from what i gathered here and on other sites) that Viv and Cass (and kind of Sera) are the most fan favorite romances between straight and gay ppl... Man, i'd be really annoyed if Scribbles ends up the gay or bi one.

Or better give us 2 bi ladies.

Graargh.

I'd be happy regardless of who will get. I admit I'm probably an exception though.

Graargh.

Considering that they didn't straight out confirm the 2/2/2 approach, it's possible we'll get four LI per gender.
Don't think either Cass or Vivienne will be though, if the number of LI are equal for straights and homosexuals.

With the men, it is tough to say what/who I'd like as an LI.  For me, a lot of it boils down to perceptions and assumptions and the potential of how they could be used as an interesting LI or atypical LI.  The Warden, Iron Bull, potential for interesting, unexpected things if done well.  But enough of a reason to use one or two LI slots?  I can't say.  If Cullen is just a stay-at-home adviser, it'd muffle my interest.  Solas, not really interested in so far.  DHMG, I like due to fandom more than actual information on him.

But with the lady LIs, with Sera, Vivienne, and Cass, it's much easier.  Those ladies are awesome already, and any of them would be great to have as LIs imo.  Scribbles is the only unknown for me.

I'll honestly eat my hat if he's not lol

Why? Nothing about him strikes me as particularly gayer than any other character.

Frankly Solas seems more likely to me.

The sibling vibe is something I felt sometimes too. Tali and Merrill gave the me younger sister vibe (I had one), and I can't romance them.

Merrill didn't bother me, but Tali?  yep, Shepard watched her grow up, well I know mentally that there were only a few years between the beginning and end, but it felt like I watched her grow up.   :)  so yeah, I saw her as a kid sister.

Gah! I can't win. :(

Nobody can. :(

Sera is my chance for an F/F + elf/elf romance story in DA... so I sort of have my heart/hopes set on that unless Bioware rules such dreams as "better luck next time."

I really wish my brother would post on these boards to offer his thoughts. He recently said he feels like the only gay man who did not like Kaidan/mShep.   He said despite the fact that mShep had originally been planned to have a m/m ship since the first game it felt  like fan service to him  and he wished the mshep/Kaidan  dialogue had been different than it was for femShep/Kaidan.    It just really disappointed him.

He liked his Cortez playthrough better  and enjoyed his playthrough as a femShep romancing Garrus.

He has an account here...I have been BEGGING him to post since he reads the boards and I can tell he wants to reply to some of these posts but he doesn't want the backlash for his ideas being different.

Maybe I will try bribing him to post.

Hehe! YES work that bribery magic! :D There are a few bad apples on this forum for sure, but enough good ones too that makes it worth it. It'd be really cool to read his opinions.

Personally I don't mind if something is fanservice or not - as long as the content is good, I'm happy. I didn't think mShep and Kaidan were perfect though! Honestly I was just happy to have something take my mind off Alistair! :P

I will be quite happy with all of them, because I'll play so many games I can check them all out and then replay the ones I love.  That is if they don't do something like the DR or ME3 or some other horrific action with all the endings, and I end up hating all of them.  But I am keeping my hope alive and fingers crossed that there will be "good" ending along with the bad where inquisitior, LI and some of the group survive and start to rebuild the templars or the mages or something unexpected.  Wow, that took a turn I wasn't expecting.

I don't think the world is ready for such a thing.

Would be too awesome.

Technically, I don't think many are asked for their opinion.  We are just mostly outspoken and insist that our voice be heard even if it's just in our head.  Sometimes the voices in my head are yelling and I just let them do the typing.

Hated the DR, but I have to admit after I played ME3 3 times,  I was able to go back and do the DR a little easier.

I never got the problem people who romanced Alistair had with the DR.

If the situation was reversed; if the only way I could save my girlfriend's life was by letting her have a one night stand with another man, it wouldn't be a decision. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I wasn't super keen on scrubbed until I read (pretty justified) speculation she's the political advisor for the Inquisition, which I think could be an excellent and interesting character. Depending on her moral compass I think she could be a very enticing character - we rarely see realpolitik oriented women ( I don't think Anora counts).

Edit: apparently the forum decided to eat my reply and post the empty quote.

I was going to say that there is a wide gulf between saving your loved one and saving your relationship.
