Wow, really? Even in the new engine? I think he's actually pretty handsome in the new trailer. I always find this stuff interesting. How one person finds a person "straight up ugly" and another finds the same person "handsome".

It's like how there are people saying that Vivienne is just "okay". I'm not even into ladies and I'm into Vivienne.

Well, I think I've become the official advocate for anyhing regarding Scribbles. I mean, my avatar shows up within the first few dozen images in the search.

 

As for who I want to romance, so far there are a few I have my eyes on.

Yeah, on a personal level, I find Varric in the trailer/Varric in DAI so far to be very unattractive.  I thought he was better looking in DA2, though he still wasn't what I would deem very good-looking.  

 

I'd actually say that Vivienne is the most attractive person at the war table.  With Cullen as second most attractive (a distant second, Viv is in a league of her own imo).

The alternative is that I choose to talk less.  I'd prefer to frankly not care if people run with it in that way and to continue interacting with the fanbase.  I guess I'll reevaluate that stance if and when it happens.

If I can't have Varric, then so far Cassandra is the one that's got my eye.  Sera caught my eye first (even started a thread about her,) but I'm leaning more and more towards Cass.  I've hit the point where, male or female, I want a LI that's approximately my own age.  Sera seems fun, but from what I've gleaned about her, possible too immature for my taste.  Still, she looks like she'll be great to travel with.  I'm with Hina: I really hope that Cass is bisexual.  

 

Plus, I'd love to see this goofy, wistful look again, only towards my Lady Cadash.  Putting this in spoiler tags because the image is pretty big.

People say this a lot, but an "open mind" isn't going to make someone attractive to me if they're not otherwise. It's not that I just get so interested in one character that I sour others. It's that they just never appealed to me aesthetically and a good personality would only ever make me want to be their friend.

 

I agree with this As for DA:I, It's like the artists delved into my brain and picked the traits I am least attracted to, then slapped them onto various characters

My taste in guys and girls veers pretty strongly toward generally "feminine" features (i.e., facial features in either genre associated with femininity). Even Cullen, who I think is very traditionally attractive, isn't someone I find attractive. But like I said, I just happen to have a narrow band of guys I find attractive. Varric is pushing ... super masculine for me, and so wholly unattractive. 

I'm not attracted to women, but my taste in guys also tends towards prettier guys. Not like, gay stereotypes, but guys with softer, more traditionally feminine attributes. I would love if we could get some less masculine, or even more androgynous looking guys.

There is a different between what we want to happen and what we think is going to happen.  I'm with you, on both counts.  I hope that Cassandra is pansexual*, but I expect her to be straight.  I also suspect that Cullen is the "coming-out" story that DG was talking about.  Contrary to a few rumors on the forums, I haven't seen any sign indicating that the storyline has been dropped.  I'm on the fence with him, but I'm leaning more and more towards straight, then realizing he's pansexual throughout the course of the story.

 

I'm using the term "pansexual" since it's more about the body than the person.  I doubt if any of the LIs are going to give a crap what race we are.

Gaider never specifically mentioned a "coming out" story, at least not on his blog. Sure, he has talked about the set sexualities, but never that specific romance arc being anywhere in Inquisition.

Yeah. I mean, I could be wrong and Sera is made the Heterosexual-only romance, but Cassandra just doesn't seem bisexual to me so I have my doubts until proven otherwise. 

 

As for Cullen, if they are doing that he is definitely a prime candidate.
