Why is Solas being mean to Cole in this picture?

? I don't see that. I see Solas talking to Cole who's under the waterfall.

More importantly, why are the Iron Bulls horns actually giant flower petals?

It looked more like he was keeping Cole in the waterfall. Probably running an experiment to see how long Fade entities can stand water.
Oh, that's right. That's your girlfriend's calling card.
Pffft
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love Cassandra's face. She's not buying it. ![]()
Continuum, Once upon a Time + spinoff, Orphan Black, Nikita, True Blood, etc. etc. and those are just some of the recent ones. The 00's are chock full of them as well.
Saying women are underrepresented is completely false.
A handful of shows does not make it "completely false." Women are underrepresented in TV, Movies, and games. Women are also comprised of more than straight white women, which is the majority of these roles. There is nothing untrue of what I said. If you wish to believe otherwise, you are free to.
This is the Romance Thread. Let's keep representation stuff in the representation threads.

Aren't they all locked?
Aren't they all locked?
Not all. A few like the Lady Inquisitor and Gay Proposition ones are still up.
"Where are we going? How should I know? Do I look like the leader of this merry band of misfits?"
Exactly!
Aggressive Hawke is useful to. If you spend the earlier part of the game unreasonably picking sides rather than trying to compromise or do the nice thing constantly, the later unreasonableness of everyone fits better. There's no confusion or disconnect about losing those Third Way moments when you're openly secretarian from the start.
True. He's also hilariously douchey like rene shep in ME1.
And here we part ways (which, whatever, it's just the consulars). Both consulars are being super-boring zen, but male Consular at least sounds like he might've had a filthy emotion or two in his life (if you pick the jerky-seeming responses, he can be a total snob, which makes me laugh. He's wound up being one of those insufferable Jedi that does the right thing but is a total douche about it.), the female Consular sounds completely dead inside to me. Her romance with Lt. Boyfriend is tragic, because he is SO INTO HER and she ... sounds exactly the same as when she's droning at any other person at any other point in time.
I think my favorite Republic VA is actually the male smuggler. I didn't like him a whole lot at first, but then something happened and he just cracks me up. I like the female smuggler too, but she has the Corso Issue. I hate Corso Riggs.
I always thought the lack of emotion was direction on the consular part. A lot of their dialogue is pretty much "if I die so be it." in a completely disconnected way. I guess they took the whole Jedi code thing a lot more seriously than the knight did. XD I did play nice consular first the two lines I actually smiled at was the pretending to be a sith lord one and the "I could sense you just came aboard." "And the docking spaceship didn't give you a clue?"
I'm really meh on male smug. But screw Corso. Corso is the reason my fem smug drags him around and bangs everyone she can. Ugh Corso. We can agree on hating him.
As for unvoiced characters being emotionless...didn't feel that way to me. I always felt that was more a player problem. I'm playing BG Enhanced series right now and having a blast. The Bhaalspawn is far more emotive than Shepard and Hawke to me. (I love how I can have him flip out when the game is suitably absurd).

I only see varric's elbow standing very close to the fun parts of the grey warden
unvoiced protagonists are my preference. they allow me to record myself talking over the text and upload it to youtube.
i am a professional voice actor.
Unvoiced protags allow more dialogues since instead of v.a.-ing the PC, a company can use resources on NPCs. Cheaper too
More dialogues = better
But since bioware are not going to have voiceless PC ever again - whatever. I have my TES where I can imagine any voice I want
Yeah this.
I really just dislike voiced protags because my chance of playing male skyrockets where usually it's skewered towards female.
Also reading this: http://motherboard.v...rotagonists-yet has me even more pro a openly gay companion. Openly apologetically gay and I want them to be Isabelish (not in personality but in the whole no you can't kill them factor).

That's an awesome article, Ryz. Thank you for posting.

NP.
Also I'm not sure Dorian...I want him for my Quizzy tho D: (and I"m sure in hell not playing a male Qunari). I guess I could roll with a human rogue that's distrustful of magic.
To each his own, I vastly preferred Hawke who could talk and emote over Robo-Warden.
Eh my warden was far from a robot she was flirty sassy sometimes gruff with a blood knight outlook at times. Plus she was competent and did what she set out to do successfully ![]()
But if your Warden was a robot that's because you had her/him be one. That's hardly the warden's fault. ![]()

Hell, to be honest, if we get a fully gay companion, I honestly don't care if he's LI or not. I'd love for the Warden or Iron Bull to be gay. That'd be awesome.

Yeah I'm kind of rooting for IB too.
More so than Dorian really. Not warden though. He's gonna die horribly D:

That's better than some of the derpy as hell faces Hawke/Shepard have at times. Especially Hawke's stupid eyebrow raising face and Shep's derptastic smile.
And solved by not focusing on the warden's face.
The few times they do have the warden face overly emoting it looks absolutely ridiculous (The HN warden finding Oren's corpse, killing the archedemon are the two that stand out strongly in my mind) so them avoiding it was the prudent choice.
Edit: Meant Hawke's stupid eyebrow raise not Shep's. >_< Derp.
