I think it mostly just depends on the writer. They've said some writers care more about keeping it secret than others. I haven't gotten the impression that Gaider specifically minds saying who he's written. I think sometimes they do wait to release the info for market-y type reasons also, though. Basically, the same reason they hold everything back and piece it out. lol
So, one thing that I read a while ago and that worries me a little: Gaider is going to write only two romances, right? Cass and another one? (by the way, do we have any clues on who could be the other one?) I mean, not the I don't trust the rest of the team (I love Sten and Isabella, for instance) but he wrote most of my favourites characters and my favourite romances, and now with set sexualities I'm afraid I might miss both of his LIs
I think I'm personally more concerned about this than about getting stuck with the character I find the least physically attractive

In Mass Effect, Ashley and Jack are two straight female LIs who never bring up the prospect of them getting pregnant. Are they more shallow in terms of romance content because of it?
Also, I'm one of those who would rather have no gender specific dialogues for romances. But I guess we'll probably get some because that's part of the charm of set sexualities, isn't it? that and dead wifes and husbands

Well, I know most people playing male gay PCs are getting tired of the bi elf, and I understand it, but I loved both Zveran and Fenris, so I wouldn't mind one more, my experience with them is great... I could even look past those pants

Yep and Liara's kids would probably be hitting puberty by the time Shep kicks the bucket so even if s/he wanted kids I fail to see the allure.

Why? I never asked if they were less popular? I asked if they had less depth because they never brought up kids even though they can have them.
