I meant the fact that they're incubating a creature that is likely to grow up to be twice their size. It's going to grow to be HUGE, even scaled down with mixed genes. That lady is going to pop at 8mos.

Heck, for all we know, Qunari can be sterile when breeding with those not of their own race....though I guess that would defeat the necessity of the breeding program.

Well, I think it's like, mostly for breeding certain traits. I think the idea is that line breeding warriors will make better warriors, etc. They keep breeding between people of the same assignments and everyone is always assigned what they'll do in life, usually based off breeding. I don't think it's just to keep the race pure.
