I'm really disappointed to hear this. I'm not going to assume anyone I actually want to romance is available with probably only one companion LI available until we get the news. Ugh.
As said in another topic, I'm reactivating my "Always assume the worst. That way you are never disappointed." standpoint for romances now.

Not all people like playing as opposite genders, playersexual worked best in this case. The only way myself and probably a good amount of people will see or know what those romances entail will be seeing it on youtube or tumblr.

Cullen is bi. Even if he was straight in DA:O, he was probably written by Hepler and Gaider for DA:I and it is hard for me to see them making Cullen straight

As for possible LIs:
Vivienne, as I said, very possible, very gay or very bi. Very sure. Very Orlais and very Circle
Iron Bull - anything. Since even if he's a tal-vashoth, I think some of qunari ideals still stuck with him. So gender probably doesn't matter to him. And sex
Sera - if true, then bi, as usual. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to do something unusual and she turns out as straight or gay only
Solas - ehh, too little information
Cole - nope
Scribbles - also too little information, but I think if Vivienne is a LI, then Scribbles will be either gay or bi, depending on Vivienne's sexuality. Maybe straight if Sera is gay and Cassandra is bi
Grey Warden - straight, likely? I have no idea
Dorian - gay or bi, likely
Varric - nope

It's not going to be fair either way for anyone, I'm happy there's an equal split instead of something odd numbered, I really am, but going from all to a restricted amount sucks. Obviously I'm going to wish for it to be in favor of my preference? Do you want me to lie and pretend I wouldn't? It's just from a personal point. Obviously that isn't fair, it's never fair, someone will be always unhappy or left out or whatever else.
Varric said he's not into humans, even if you don't play as a human that would mean one race choice would be neglected and I don't think they'll do that.
I wouldn't mind, since it makes sense, but I know a lot of people would.
If they went back to the staight/bi method.. Ugh. So depressing. Just ugh. I don't even want to think about it. I just wont be able to get excited at all about the game if that's what they're doing. It's such a huge set back.

I'm...okay with this. It adds more "realism" to the story (yeah I know, realism in a fantasy genre, shaddup), but now I'm worried that the LIs I want to date with my Lady Qunquisitor won't be available for her.

No playersexual? I was all but certain they'd continue in that direction...How unfortunate 
Also, did anyone at Bioware actually confirm this 6 LIs thing? Or are people just assuming? I mean, I made the same assumption, but until it's official, it's not.
Assuming it's true though, I'm totally calling/hoping for DHMG as the gay male. Cullen's probably straight and I'd predict Solas for the bi option.
As for the ladies; Cass might be straight, Sera bi and Scribbles could be a lesbian? Maybe?
6 LIs isn't confirmed. 2/2/2 isn't confirmed. They just said some characters would have set sexualities.
I wish they would stop being vague about it and just tell us if the distribution is going to be even, or what. This isn't a fun kind of tension, like guessing companions, or even guessing who the LIs will be generally. It's just depressing waiting to see if my demographic will get screwed over again, like in every other game where romances were gated by gender, including Bioware's. If it's 2/2/2, then fine, not my ideal, but at least it's fair by a numbers game. I wish they'd just say it.
Like, sorry if it comes across as rude or whatever, but it's pretty easy to see where it's not safe to expect the bright side here.
I wouldn't mind if Varric is only able to be romanced by a female dwarf; I've wanted to play a female dwarf since DA:O anyway, since I had to back out and start over as a human noble once I realized there's pretty much no happy ending for Alistair and a dwarf. I will mind, however, if Varric isn't available as an LI at all. They gave the Cullen camp what they wanted. They gave us Garrus. Surely there's enough demand for Varric?
