Opt out? No, once you swear your eternal love for him, you many NEVER LEAVE!!

I will almost certainly not opt out.  But in respect to Alan's earlier point about judging characters based solely on looks, I wanted to put in a clause.

But on the other hand, that moustache and those eyes?  I'm all in.

<------ I hope he's more of a pearl diver >.>

You can bone him and he can dive for pearls.

Now, doing both AT THE SAME TIME might be tricky.

SO ANYWAY.

Everyone that wants to bone Mustache Guy, raise your hand.

Based on looks alone, he seems promising.  I don't want to assume anything, though.

I don't really find Solas attractive right now based only on a few screenshots, but I know seeing him in action and hearing his voice may change my mind.  I remember seeing a piece of concept art for Fenris before he was introduced and thinking "pfft, whatever."  About halfway through my first playthrough, while I was romancing Anders and rivaling Fenris, I realized that I *needed* to play again and romance Fenris.  It'll be interesting to see how my feelings about the new crew develop and change over time.

Fair enough. We don't know sh!t about his personality, but hopefully he's a pretty cool guy.

I wish Dragon Age explored gender a bit more.

Then I recall the asari 'Male and female mean nothing to us, but we're going to all become strippers and behave in stereotypically feminine ways' take on gender, and I'm like 'maybe not.'

"No, you don't understand, the fact that we are wankbait for every other species in the galaxy is totes empowering! Not to mention, conveniently necessary for our survival."

I think Shale is a fairly interesting character in regards to gender, but it didn't get explored that far.

Last time I heard such a request was when a certain cultish fanatic told me to drink dorkspawn blood to give me creepy superpowers at the risk of violent death.  We all know how that went.

So... I'm gonna have to say-- sure!

Now I am imaging him making those dramatic concept art hands and saying that before passing out at dramatic plot reveals in-game.

I'm all for being part of the Mustache Mafia, for better (unrealistically bisexual) or not optimal for my play style (deeply and meaningfully gay).

Sorry if I made any of you folks uncomfortable by using the word "queer". In my experience, the only time I've heard it as a slur is when it's used as a noun, and I always use it as an adjective (aka, I always say "Queer people" or "queer foks", NEVER "queers" or "that queer"). I've had "homosexual" used against me far more frequently, and I'd never use it to talk about myself. It's the word my Seventh Day Adventist family loves to say with a sneer.

It's really a shame there's no universal word that all of us like/can agree on. :/ But if "queer" makes you guys uncomfortable, I'll make an effort to avoid it.

When in doubt, use 'butt pirate'.

Nah.  It's like you said, there's no word that everyone likes.  Feel free to use that word; I won't be offended by it provided you don't call me queer!  ;)

I don't think he'd be unrealistically bisexual at all. In my opinion, he could easily be a sword crosser and a pearl diver.

It's not really a big deal. I just go by context and it's clear you're not aiming to be offensive.

What does it mean to be "unrealistically" bisexual anyway?

"You can't like dudes! You play the sport-ball like on the teevee!"

If you're not constantly having sex with men and women while talking about how you enjoy having sex with men and women, then you are apparently not acting bisexual enough.

Of course, if you're obviously and enthusiastically interested in sex and like both men and women, you're a s*** like Isabela. If you are a guy and dare to mention an attraction to men, you are shoving your sexuality down other people's throats.

I'm interested in knowing if I have been doing bisexual wrong my entire life.

Well it's true! It's true! You're semi-bisexual. You're quasi-bisexual. You're the margarine of bisexual. You're the Diet Coke of bisexual.

Just one calorie, not bi enough.
