Seconded! The character needed some work (but hey, it was...BioWare's second or third non-straight male LI,) but I liked that he was secure enough in his sexuality to tell both a male and a female Warden.
He was, it made me smile when I had romanced him. It probably helped that I loved his personality a lot lmfao.
Very random side note: I just came back from my garage and "Love Stinks" was playing on the radio out there.

I'll be honest. The only characters I've been able to romance him with have been my casteless dwarves. They can relate to him, and I can get into the RP side of it. However, for the rest of my characters so far, he comes on just too strong. That aside, I really thought his level of comfort with himself was pretty endearing.

How funny I've romanced him as well with two of my non-canon dwarves recently.
We are yet to see any Dalish homosexual couple, most were heterosexual. Merrill is an outcast, so I ain't sure she is a good example
Not to mention Merrill is in love with a human, so we know the Dalish frown on that.

Something I'd love to see is a spirit romance - It would really be interesting to see it play out if done extremely well.

I romance Zevran with my Tabris (who is kinda repulsed by human men, although she does warm up to Alistair eventually) and my Aeducan (who is way into Alistair until he drops the royal bastard-bomb, at which point she's like "I left the political intrigue ish in Orzammar") and hooks up with Zevran. While I love his personality and his romance, he tends to fall squarely into that "better friend than romantic partner" place with most of my Wardens. I think his upbringing makes me view him as needing more time and affection than the game really allows for, and a supportive friendship seems like it would do him some good.
(My Brosca always ends up with Leliana. I think it's because Leliana's the antithesis of Dust Town- and reminds her of Rica enough that she isn't as intimidated by Leliana as she is by Morrigan.)

Thinking of Friday made me think Follower Friday, and makes me wonder: Does anyone think if a character is romancable, they'll reveal it in whatever system will replace FF?

My Lady Aeducan was always super sad about Gorim. She loved him, and he ended up married in what seemed like no time at all. She eventually let Leliana soothe her wounded heart.
My Tabris got her heart broken by Alistair and then ran off to meet death.
My Mahariel stayed in the Wardens with Alistair.
My Cousland men have a fondness for Zevran.
My Lady Couslands all married Alistair.
My Amell ran away with Morrigan through the Eluvian.

I'm only guessing, but...nah. Knowing the DA team they'll talk everything about a character but their LI status. Cullen and Cassandra are both returning characters and most players know at least a little a bit them. So it's probably a little easier to get those questions out of the way.
For the rest, I suspect they'll remain cagey for now, and at least until E3 or later.

Amell: Leliana (They both seemed to be looking for someone to accept them as they really are. I also want to see if Leliana and Cullen have any words on the subject since Leliana gets involved with his crush.)
Brosca: Alistair (Both she and Rica have stolen the hearts of future kings.)
Cousland: Morrigan and Leliana and Anora (It's good to be the King. )

You're probably right. They like to let us stew in stress and worry. That way we produce a bigger crop of fan tears for them.

Brosca: Zevran. Both were products of a rather crappy environment, both rogues, and both were travelers without a real home to call their own.
Cousland (my "cannon" Warden): Alistair again. That's Queen Cousland to you, although she did have a fascinating night at the Pearl.
Mahariel: Leliana, both being archers and great lovers of beauty. Her awe of the Dalish and her willingness to treat my Warden as an equal went a long way. This was also the only Warden that did the US. Leliana's epilogue slide was very depressing. 
Tabris: Leliana and I played my Tabris a bard as well. She loved the idea of being involved in The Game and being a spy. She's also the only Warden I've played with a set sexuality in mind (she was a lesbian, had known it for years and she questioned the arranged marriage every chance she got.)
Aeducan: Nobody. She didn't find anyone attractive, since she really only liked dwarves.

I mean, there are already arguments (and not the friendly disagreement kinds...) that happen based on this sort of stuff. It spawns forth all sorts of fun stuff like "playersexual is just pandering to players and weakens characters by having their sexual interests bow to the whims of the player" (I'm sure some of these people would love to see an official declaration from a writer so that they can feel right and let others that feel otherwise know they're wrong). How many people that have gotten on our case for the erasure of bisexuality would just love to have an official declaration that their ire is justified?

You're a step ahead of me. I've only played on male between the two games and that was a Hawke. One of these days I'm going to try out a guy, mainly to see the Morrigan romance first hand. I just got to get a male Warden made that I can look at for several hours and a lot of cutscenes.

I'm thinking about a warrior myself. It would be a chance to get some "firsts" out of the way from Origins before Inquisition comes out. First male toon, first warrior and first Morrigan romance. That and while I don't mind the Fade (even in the Broken Tower,) I find the Mage Origin really sluggish. I've only gotten one mage to the end of the game because of it.

The last three Wardens I did were human nobles. Sad, but true. I've only completed the game with one Dalish and one City Elf though. That's what I'm leaning towards. I was still going to get Alistair on the throne though.
