I was struck by how much variety there seemed to be, and also the amount of thought some people seem to have put into their characters' motivations and feelings about their relationships.
My canon Origins playthrough is a female Dalish Warrior (bisexual). Tamlen was her best friend and they were involved. She starts out really quite racist and Dalish supremacisty towards "shems" and "flat ears", though she quickly becomes bffs with Morrigan through their shared traits (respect for nature and old magic/old lore, distrust and dislike of the new human world they find themselves navigating, opinions towards the Chantry, both being capable strong women, hardline pragmatic attitudes & tendency towards the acerbic, mutual disparaging opinions of Alistair, etc). She engages in a casual friends-with-benefits arrangement with her bro Zevran but ultimately grudgingly falls for Alistair. At first she thinks he's a big stupid shem, slow and useless, soft, cowardly, indecisive etc. She's slow to warm to him but they end up together. In the end, Anora becomes sole ruler, Alistair does the DR with Morrigan at the Warden's insisting (I love Aimo and DGaider's comic for the DR with romanced Alistair and bestfriended!Morrigan), Alistair remains unhardened and him and Mahariel continue to be Wardens together. Although, if she'd been able to romance Morrigan it would have been a different story. x)
Canon DAII is bisexual ladyHawke aggressive & direct mage who romances Fenris, after a fwb fling with bff!Izzy.
In Inquisition I'm hoping for Cassandra and Solas for my FemQuizzies. I'm still not over Morrigan rofl. I light 8978 prayer candles every night that my femquisitor will be able to be with Cass.
