See I dont mind if I am not doing their romance in that run.

It is their choice.

 

Now really I would find that cool seeing relationships develop between followers since we spend so much time with them.

ME3 having squadmates move around and talk to each other was I think a MASSIVE improvement in this area.

 

So yes I enjoy seeing it happen.

Now I would find it annoying if it led to such things as them trying to kill each other, or duel the PC for a romance or something like Baulder's Gate had.

Though seeing Minsc wipe the floor with some NPCs was down right hilarious.

 

Really though I just found it awesome to see characters not just interacting with the PC.

Eh I think it is just cool to see them having any relationship with each other really.

 

I loved those scenes when followers talked to each other about things during quests.

Though truth be told I would love seeing romances develop just to watch people go all:

Maybe with DHMG and Solas? Both are male and believed to be either the bi or gay choice for the Inquisitor, and both are mages so share similar interests.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Solas or Dorian is straight. Making Cullen straight would be a bit unfortunate for hetero females.

That would be great. I'd probably never see the m/m one because I'm not expecting more than two guys who are gay/bi and I'll pretty much always be romancing one of them. However, it would be great if it was there for other people to see and I would love it if the bisexual lady and lesbian companions ended up together in my playthroughs. How awesome would it be to be able to have an entire party made up of s/s couples?

BUT WHAT IF the gay/bi guy you don't romance hooks up with another, non-LI companion! Just cuz they aren't available to the PC doesn't mean they might not be available to your other companions.

 

EDIT: That said, I really do hope that two of the ladies hook up during my playthrough, because I'd love for my gay PC to have other openly gay/bi/lesbian friends.

Yeah, I didn't need to know that either.  I'd bet money that wasn't the context that the artist was going for. 

 

The funniest jokes are accidental.

 

It took me a bit to realize authorial intent there. I thought the females were thinking the other angle as well.

I assume Isabela is in a wide-range of relationships even if she's hooked up with my PC. They're just not tacky enough to talk about it in front of Marian.

Alternatively, I think Fenris sleeps with Isabela because he knows all of four women and they're married, a blood-mage, a lesbian, or Isabela. Which makes it another case of 'I wish you had some emotional connections outside this group.'

That suggests a level of functional adult far beyond what is acceptable in a Bioware companion.

I really hope our companions move around and do things besides just stand there in the keep or camp waiting for us to come and talk to them. I loved roaming the Normandy and seeing who moved where and what they were talking about.

I personally love it when LIs hook up with other characters if you don't romance them.  It makes them a lot more realistic.  If no LI shows interest in anyone else ever (especially in the case of both Fenris/Isabella and Garrus/Tali, where they have YEARS to get to know each other), it makes me feel like all the LIs are just sitting around quietly pining for me if I don't choose them. 

 

But yes, I really want to see some same-sex romance between LIs.

It probably didn't help that the two of them had pretty much no relationship buildup. They barely had interaction past 'mutual friends of Shepard', let alone UST or FWB or any other interaction we saw.

 

 

For me, it was just so randomly thrown in there I was more skeptical than anything else. Rutting before the end of days, like the Suicide Mission scenes.

 

 

(And god, do I still think that was a fucked up scenario for Shepard and either of them.)

The other creepy thing is that Garrus is basically Shepard lite, and with Tali being so into M!Shep from the start of ME2, her ending with Garrus is a bit ... creepy.

I've never seen any characterization moments in ME1 or ME2, let alone in brief period in the last quarter of ME3, that I would consider 'hints.' Nothing that would stand on its own as oppossed to retroactive interaction interpretation- which can read just about anything into everything.

 

It's been awhile, but the last time someone tried to sell me on Garrus-Tali they really just reminded me of shipping wars of old cartoons and anime I used to follow. Fans of a pairing can interpret anything as proof.

The other the other creepy thing, back before the EC, was the prospect of Tali and/or Garrus resorting to canibalism on the garden world if they hadn't gotten off planet.

 

I had a friend who, quite seriously and with some thought, pegged Garrus as more likely to commit suicide to give Tali more time to survive, since her engineering skills would be more important in salvaging the ship.
