I feel everyone is over thinking this entire thing to much. i think the romances will be even we should not use other games as a skeleton on how their going to handle the romances, my hope is that there are an equal amount of romances for everybody, or: Maker's Breath, your able to romance EEEEEEEEVERYONE.

I am a fan of the characters being straight/gay/bi, but I don't like the 2/2/2 idea people are throwing out.  I wouldn't mind seeing Varric or Iron Bull as LI for their respective races, maybe even one of the elves are only interested in elves as well.  Though I do get that romance for a lot of players is just about the sex, the companions should think towards the future and their children, if I was an elf, I wouldn't want a halfbred child with human ears, maybe my elven compatriots feel the same way.

 

And while I just skimmed through the 40 pages of this topic, I don't think I've seen many posts(if any) asking for Leliana to return as a LI.  I have many Wardens who didn't romance her, and one who romances and then killed her, and I'd like to see her be a possible LI if wasn't in a relationship with the Warden.

We know it is not the latter, since yesterday they shot any chance of 'everyone available to anyone' out of the sky. That plus NPC romances due to Cullen being that, we are trying to figure out how they'll do it.

They've already confirmed before this thread was created that anyone who was an LI for Warden or Hawke will not be available again. A shame too since Leliana is beautiful in this game.

Kelly/ not much romance content (mainly a fling) = achievement

Thane/ enough romance content, he was important to the story = no achievement

But at least it is fair. I hate this set sexuality thing too, but we have to think how it will be utilized.

Part of me struggles to believe they'd abandon companion romance choice in favour of set sexuality even if 1 of each is notionally fair. But then I was firmly in denial about me3 so I should probably expect the worst.

My guess is it will be handled similarily to companions, but you wont be able to take them with you on quests, unless their attatched to the party as NPC's. My hope is that we'll be able to give presents to our party once again, i liked that.

I don't think it was "the best", although it was finally nice to get an m/m romance, for once.

The only reason I think ME was "best in romances" was their cutscenes, and the progression of the romances - they felt naturally tied into the plot, and had fun "dates."

Quite disappointing that news is, outside of Leliana, I was hoping that my Inquisitor would have a chance to get with Isabella so can say she slept with the 3 most important men of her lifetime.

Fair enough on the FemShep front, Onto Dragon Age and the Undesireable Mankini: these games have a PG rating, or an Adult rating and with Game of Thrones going "WOO HOO NUDITY!" and it becoming more mainstream, i figure just lose the underwear, or position it well. i mean Breasts are Breasts, and the like is the like.

Oh yeah, Mass Effect 3 worked fine in equal LI treatment.

 

So what? It had Straights, Gays and Bis. The game had a diverse amount of characters with different sexual orientations.

Oh but there wasn't enough characters to cater to the female and gay audience. Is that what this is about? Really? You wanting more?
