lol, don't leave. All of that is welcome here.

Kaiden wasn't anywhere near as bad as Ashley, where a lot of the criticism comes from for Bioware.
Do you mean the fight in Horizon or that Ashley changed in ME3?
I always snuck out by myself. It's especially funny when you are an elf or a dwarf because the entire guard is human yet nobody notices a member of a different race pretending to be a guard. ![]()
What would you think if you would have to be separated from your LI for several quests? Would you like it or dislike it?
I was thinking something similar what happened in ME where you could have a romance in ME1 and there was almost no content in ME2 and you could continue the romance in ME3. Of course the timespan would be shorter in DAI. That would be good thing because the separation in ME was too long.
I would like this kind of separation because then there would be reunion and I like reunions.

The fight.
The fight.
To this day, i'm still trying to block out the derpiness of both sides of that confrontation ![]()
As for seperating the LI for a time, I'd say no, unless there's a really good story reason for it, like the BG2 thing with Bodhi. ME3's removing Ash/Kaidan for half the game contributed nothing.
Also, followers coming to the rescue of the PC every once in a while is awesome. Especially if led by the LI ![]()

That I wouldn't mind, considering how often we pull their backsides out of the flames. Let them do a little of the work for once!
Your companions running around looking for you in Prosper's dungeon counts in its own way, since it was amusing.
Ugh no not like Bodhi.
*sighs at Anomen and Viconia* A cleric being kidnapped by a vampire is all kinds of pathetic. I could get Aerie since she was worthless anyway but yeah.
If the LI must be seperated from the PC let it be because they had business to take care of. Not the whole OMG X has been captured! That'd work fine with an NPC romance but with someone who regularly kicks ass by my PCs side...not so much.

yea the convo made less sense if Garus was there too, its like... you remember Garus the "Alien" and even HE is working with Cerberus. So could you maybe cut me some slack?
Although, not mesasging her was a derpy move anyway. Also for the spacer background should have been able to say "I haven't even told my mother"

Hey, Bodhi was some kind of bizarre super-vampire with the soul-fragment of a dead god and a guild of undead assassins at her command. Cut them, a break

She was still a damn vampire. Use freaking holy smite or sunburst to stun and get their ass out of there. I'm not expecting them to solo her. (hell they could've used Sanctuary!) Sactuary, Holy Smite, Protection from Evil, Bolt of Glory, Sunburst, False Dawn. I mean they freaking specialize in undead defense.
It's just a scene that makes me sigh. Aerie and Jaheria I get. I'm not happy about it but I get it. The clerics though...
Dorn and Rassad didn't put up with that crap.
Kidnapping a LI is kinda played out.
LI gets kidnapped
Note/Mook informs you
Chase ensues
Baddies get stomped
LI gets rescued
Sex ensues later
Yadda yadda yadda!
Though I liked in DAO when it was your LI that could save you.
Or just using Sten: "The irony of this situation does not escape me"
Hah
Maybe the LI could get killed before you get there for a change and then you can romance someone else and have some Carth Syndrome of your own ![]()

How about:
LI is kidnapped
You receive note
Arrive just in time to see LI get stabbed. In the baby. (Yes, there is inexplicably a baby.)
You are shot full of arrows. Also stabbed. For walking straight into an obvious trap.
The Lannisters send their regards.

Well, Alpha Protocol can have something quite similar happen....
"Deus Vult" ![]()

XD
I take it that was an undesirable outcome ![]()
Could be worse, coulde be the PC getting kidnapped due to contrived circumstances *cough*Saints row 2*cough*
I don't really mind the PC getting kidnapped due to stupidity because because 99% of the time you save yourself (though there's times where it's REALLY stupid Looking at you Dragon Quest 8. You can only get to the area you get kidnapped via using a bird and do you use the bird to escape? NOPE).
okay, ignore the companions in general. What would your ideal romance be?

In terms of plot, or in terms of character? Like, romance arc, or person to romance?

There's this part of me that really wants to try a (gay) May-December romance in the game (part of why I hope we get at least one more mature LI option *cough*Beardy*cough*). I think it could be fun to have to actually work at convincing your LI that you actually are interested in them and that things like age differences don't matter to you. ![]()

I'd also like an older character romance. I personally found Riordan and Duncan to be quite handsome.

Something really...banal. Specifically in the fantasy setting. You're both adults and you both might have your issues, but it's not something you're going to let get in the way of just hanging out together playing mumblety-peg or whatever. think Alana and Marko from Saga.
Alistair had shades of that in the beginning of his romance, with the mutual bonding over sarcasm, but it got very much overshadowed by the bastard prince plot. Morrigan always had ulterior motives when dealing with you, Zevran and Leliana both had tragic pasts that understandably affect how they approach relationships. DA2 has the same problem.
Isabela was the closest to a normal/healthy-ish relationship in DA2, though she did need 3+ years to get over her commitment issues.

AND SHE'S MY BABY. But she's still lying to you throughout the beginning of it and also does the running off after act 2 thing.
I want an LI where the people aren't the problem, it's all the crazy stuff around you. So when you do get the romance comment, it's like a wee vacation for your PC.

So kind of like Shepard and Samantha?
