So what? It had Straights, Gays and Bis. The game had a diverse amount of characters with different sexual orientations.

Oh but there wasn't enough characters to cater to the female and gay audience. Is that what this is about? Really? You wanting more?

Oh boy....where do I even begin with this one...

No, people want equal amounts. And the straight make having almost as much as the other 3 combined is not that.

Or just straight males having less. Something, you know, fair.

Fair enough on the FemShep front, Onto Dragon Age and the Undesireable Mankini: these games have a PG rating, or an Adult rating and with Game of Thrones going "WOO HOO NUDITY!" and it becoming more mainstream, i figure just lose the underwear, or position it well. i mean Breasts are Breasts, and the like is the like.

The mankini was disastrous, no doubt.

The less said about DDogma's romances the better.

Hence the "Dont suck", Good Characters, needed better romances.

Back on topic.

I see it as, Cassandra is Straight, Vivienne will probably be Bi as Orlesians seem to be alot of the time, i Could See Sera being Bi, and I Hope Scribbles isnt Traynor 2.0 on the female scene

I can See DHMG being Bi or full on Gay, Iron Bull could be Straight, he'd be an Interesting Bi, Solas has a "I like Men" vibe to him, dont know why. Cole doesnt seem all that interested in any specific gender, let alone where the hell did he get a body?, and Varric is Varric i think he's interested in Women, but he already had a lover once, he should be a romance. and Cullen is Cullen more than likely straight, and with a troubled past to boot.

You don't, it sounds like an utterly pointless endeavor. <sigh> some of those who are constantly catered too have a hard time understanding why others would like to experience the same type of treatment.

Fair? I thought this was a RPG, not a Dating Simulator. I think we're lucky enough that Bioware are almost the only ones that implement a romance system in their Rpgs. This is why David Gaider said he's tired of the romances, because they have to put up with people who want Bioware to cater to their needs with the LIs. Just be happy with what you got. Would it be nice if there were equal amount of everything? Sure, but I think you guys are overestimating the amount of people who are bothered by this.

Given the post above mine, yeah. This gets old after a while.

Oh! It's not a dating simulator if it caters to straight males only!

But when it caters to gay/bi, suddenly is 'dating simulator'.

I can't.

Well if they had done less straight male romances, it would give the devs less romances to write, less romance flags to keep track of, less cutscenes to do...so it'd kind of a win for the devs as well?

And you're probably underestimating the amount of people bothered by it.

Well if you are a straight male then gaming has always catered to your demographic and you seem to have a hard time understanding why women and other groups are now wanting more attention from developers?

No I'm really not. Bioware released stats on the amount of people who even bother initiating a romance, and it was a small amount.

The problem with ME3 is that they had to follow up on a lot of romances from the previous games, that's why there was an overload of the amount of LIs in that game. If ME3 was a fresh new RPG from the ground up, I highly doubt there would be that many straight romances over the rest.

I would like to second Mr Former_Fiend, of whom's stance I agree with.

Bioware has catered to the gay demographic for years now. Also for the record I play as female characters in some games, and one of my favorite VG characters is a female.

Exactly, I am so tired of this dating simulator comparison. It's so exaggerated that it's just silly.

........*puts his feet up on the table, and opens a news paper* Girls Girls your Both pretty.

Im throwing my lot in with Stannis Baratheon cuz he's Awesome, but also going out on a Limb and Saying: As a Straight Male, My Best friends are Some of the craziest Bi and Gay Women in exhistance, and i would feel out of place without atleast one or both of those as possible companions.

Ummmm no, because they were one of the first to include a gay romance option does not mean that the game was catered for them and that can be clearly seen in the amount of romances options included in each game (less than for a straight male).

For the most part, I like book-Stannis more than show-Stannis.

Like show-Hound a hell of a lot more than book-Hound, though.
