I guess its official.

"Dragon Age: Inquisition" is a game exclusively made for homosexuals; therefore, hetrosexuals do not need to apply. "Dragon Age: Origins" was a great game. I think its a shame that it no longer speaks to everyone. I will just move onto another game.

I have a feeling The Witcher 3 will stroke your alpha male ego quite well, enjoy it :D

There's nothing wrong with asking for BW to include traditional fantasy trope-y relationships, but this is just getting ridiculous.

I mean the short of it is, when people are used to be included all the time, when people talk about things that they consider fringe, they feel like they are losing out and someone is not including them. Being dominant in all things, not being dominant can make someone feel they are not included and that things are imbalanced, but if they checked the facts, they realize they are getting less attention because they are sharing it fairly equally instead of dominating it

Are you joking?  By including one group, another is instantly excluded?  Newsflash: acknowledging that gay people exist doesn't infringe upon the rights of straight people.  -_-

You missed the point by a mile. Go back a read my posts. BioWare has to shake the hype, which was created by the fanbase. If the fans are sending out the wrong message, BioWare needs to shift gears rather quickly.

BW hasn't really marketed anything yet.

E3 is in a few weeks and that will change I'm sure.

Not sure about that. But the impression I get from reading the boards is people are more concerned about virtual waifu's and inclusion than they are about the game.

While it's not Bioware directly, these are their boards for anyone looking at DA:I.

Well there's always the possibility of a male Warden who romanced Morrigan and convinced Alistair to do the Dark Ritual...

THat's just all kinds of creepy though  :?

True but how many players really did that. And it's not part of the package like the male LIs.

And yeah that's pretty uber creepy .

Cassandra, Vivienne and Sera are far from being needy, damsel in distress types. Unless they add a non-companion LI that fits the description, I have the feeling you'll be disappointed

Thank god.

Damsels in distress make me want to   all over the floor. This thing is soooooooo cliche you almost can find it everywhere. And we never see men in this role.

Yeah they should really say something. As a single white straight male I'm really quaking in my boots that this game won't have any content for me.

True but how many players really did that.

Wait?! Because many fans(I didnt say all, or most, I said many) are not exactly like you, that is a reason to quit a game because they may get excited about something else?

I mean, girls and boys walking on the same side of the road? Nay! This road is now made only for girls, why don't pavement people pay attention to my needs as a man?

Or... Cars are driven by gay people? Many gay people use cars? I guess I have to give up on cars because many gay people use cars and thus they are made only for them and not heterosexuals. I have to now use the bus.

How does LGBT people liking something, participating in something, being excited about something ruin its value?

So... fans who aren't heterosexual men aren't allowed to talk about what they'd like in the game anywhere you might see it? Because this "hype" you keep mentioning is confined to forums and journalism. BioWare doesn't openly advertise that you can play as a woman or have same-sex relationship.

Don't worry, I'm sure we'll see lots of heterosexual stuff with E3.

Lots of Male!Inquis/Cassandra probably.

It will be oooookay.

Pls no.

Also awww someone feels worried there won't be any hetero stuff in the game. D'awwwww. It's okay, heterosexuality is literally in everything, you won't miss it in a game.

I think one of the reasons we talk about it so much is that there's not a lot else to talk about at this stage. There are many other aspects of the game I'm interested in, but I either don't want them spoiled - like the plot - or BioWare have said even less about them that they have about the romances - like the tactics system, the skill trees, the weapons, whether or not I can ride a pony ... etc. etc.

Since we know there are romances we can at least discuss which characters should/will be love interests and what kinds of relationships we'd like to see. It staves off the frustration of waiting FIVE MORE MONTHS, HOW CAN I WAIT FIVE MORE MONTHS?!

Ahem. Sorry, it comes and goes.

I want that doggie.

Also the whole exclusive homosexuality facepalm reminds me of something someone (so sorry I think it was in this thread. Or the Lady Inq thread) about how men would think there was a majority of women in a crowd if it was actually 50/50 because of how representation is so skewered. So when there finally is some decent presentation for females people start acting like it's too much.

It's not. Calm down peeps. You still have your vast majority of games and that includes DA as well.

Also, you do kinda have to wonder what exactly he's expecting Bioware to do to 'shake the hype'. Sponsor Orson Scott Card?

I think he's more worried that there won't be enough hetero stuff. Like a couple s/s romances is going to tarnish his experience and destroy is manly ego or something. Allowing me to romance another woman for example will somehow make him less of a man. At least that's the impression I got from all this.

That reminds me of a thread I read where someone was b*tching about the ONE FemShep trailer for ME3 because it was being "shoved down his throat".

I think it speaks volumes that detractors of equal representation are always so concerned about having something jammed down their throats. ;)

Made me genuinely laugh. I can just imagine XD

That said, gamers like him do make me worried that when it hits mainstream, that is all people will talk about being a gay agenda game or whatever. I have seen it elsewhere, but I am just really worried that it may effect Bioware negatively.

"Dragon Age" is an awesome storytelling masterpiece. Please figure out a way to remind everyone that this is a 'dark fantasy' game. "Dragon Age: Inqusition" needs to be advertised differently, so that people know its not about gays and homosexuals. I do not feel included as a hetrosexual player.

This is too funny.

I'm dying.

I'm totally fine with that. They finally get to feel what it means to be something that it's not white straight dudebro.
