Do you think they will make elves unavailable to both genders? I find it very unlikely.

I think something "unlikely" has to happen in this case. The numbers just don't stretch for everyone to get everything this time around.

Cass strikes me as into ladies, and I'm not sure why. I think it's because of the way she and Leliana look at each other at the end of DA2. They exchange a Look and I immediately decided they were a couple.

(Partly because out of all my saves, I have romanced Leliana a total of once, so she's totally available!)

To be honest, I still think it's likely Sera is going to be the lesbian character. Making the NPCs both bisexual is literally the only way to make this system fair. Some people aren't going to get what they want with this system, but the most fair way to handle it is bisexual NPCs with one each gay/straight companion LI.

This isn't my ideal, at all, but it's pretty clear that somebody gets an unbalanced amount of options on any other path.

This.

IF we are looking for fainess, which is already a stretch in itself, Scribbbles will be bi, leaving the straight and gay options on Cass, Vivi and Sera...and in that case, Cass will be the straight options, so that leaves Vivi OR Sera, and my money is on Sera (which, if true, would've been forshadowed by the tavern concept art  )

I'd not put too much into a "fair" argument.  Given that we've never seen a "variety of sexualities" scenario in a Bioware game that was "fair", I'm not going to assume anything.  While I'd like to think that it would work out that way, but the more I hear about it, the less confident I feel.

I hate to say it, but I could easily see:

Cass and Cullen - straight "main LIs"

Sera and Solas - bisexual

Scribe Girl and Dorian/DHMG - gay

This would provide the variety of sexualities that they are talking about, but would have the two unfortunate effects of creating "main LI's" who are straight and having female Inquisitors get only 2 companion romances (versus 4 for males).  I'm not sure if the devs would even pick up on that inequity given all of the other things that they have to focus on.  With the unfortunate wording about romances in the article today, I'm losing my confidence that they are treating this feature with the same level of attention as the fans are.....

I think they might make Sera the lesbian and Solas the straight option, switching it up on the elves.

Interesting thought, but what if she.. How do i say this without getting explicit.. Was uuuh.. On the receiving end of the.. Thing? She could just be showing what someone.. Did to her. That someone could be a male.

Although your theory is pretty good. I'm just kinda speculating here. And not doing a great job i might add, lol.

I'll just show myself out.

I would like a Cole romance yes please thank you. Dat shaggy blonde hair...

I'm not sure where I stand on the orientation debate. I'd be happy if they were all bi, so no-one misses out on a possible romance they may want. But then, I liked ME3's style, which was much more realistic.

I think the problem I had with DA2's bi-ness was there wasn't any... backstory/reasoning to it (not that there HAS to be). To me it just seemed like the easiest/lazy choice. I mean, some characters made sense (Izzy = ****, Anders had Karl (even though THAT was a complete change from DA.A), Fenris probably had some sexy slave duties), but others, like Merril, didn't really makr sense... To me, anyway lol

If it's 2/2/2 and the NPC romances are included in that then I think it'll be:

Bi: Cullen, Scribe Girl

Gay: DHMG, Sera

Straight: Cass, Solas

As previously said, this is the only way to make this particular distribution fair. Everyone has one companion romance and one NPC romance.

If it's 2/2/2 and any sort of NPC romance is an extra then I think it'll be:

Bi: Solas, Cass

Gay: DHMG, Viv

Straight: Sera, Varric

If it's some sort of uneven distribution like 1/4/1 then I predict this setup:

Bi: Solas, DHMG, Cass, Sera

Gay: Scribe Girl

Straight: Cullen

Hoping for either #2 or #3. I really don't like NPC romances.

Sorry to break it to you, but Gaider shut down the Cole romance months ago, and he shut it down hard.

Why does sexuality have to "make sense" ? like seriously why does someone has to justify their sexual orientation ?

And Merril strike me as a case of single-target sexuality more than anything else.

You're right that the system wont necessarily be fair and it's absolutely not evidence of what will happen.

I don't think Cullen will be the main LI as an NPC, though. I think it's likely to be Solas, honestly.

Seriously?  People are still making statements like "It made sense for Isabela to be bisexual".......  I just can't anymore.

Rape has nothing to do with someone's sexuality. I just...

*throws hands up* I'm leaving before I say something I shouldn't.

If they do 6 companion LIs and 2 NPC LIs over various sexual demographics, it could work our very well. I just feel like maybe it is too much to expect.

He has the mind of a child.

I mean, he peeped on Evangeline when she was naked yet felt no arousal, so how can he partake in a romance scene?
