Still hoping for 6 companion li's. Awful but fair approach using npc's is too bleak a scenario to capitulate too until fat lady has sung.

So 2/4/2? That has 6 companion LIs and 2 NPC LIs.

Im ok with NPC romances as long as its not like Samantha Traynor where she had way less content & the content she did get was obviously geared towards straight males who have the typical "lesbians are hot" mentality instead of bi or lesbian women who would have wanted to romance her, that shower scene

Yeah, I didn't feel that romance was worth bothering with.

 

I do think they'll be better this time around.

So cullen and Scribe girl bi, Vivi gay, Cassandra straight, Solas (or IB or GW) gay, DHMG straight...I would like that. And it's fair enough you get one NPC choice and one companion choice.

Different strokes, I guess. I loved that romance(3rd favorite in ME3 after Garrus and Tali), and not because 'lesbians are hot'.

And that is what worries me. NPC romances have yet to be on par with companion romances. Not being able to interact with an NPC as much as a companion tends to lessen the romance. At least this is try from past experience. Could DA:I prove me wrong? Yes. But that said, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Npc romances are substandard by their very nature vs companion ones. Certainly not holding any hope if they are being used as a substitute for choice.

I would be too. I'm just listing the choices I'd be happy with if everyone had access to a NPC romance and a companion one.

I like the Sam romance with the citadel DLC, the regular game version is very lacking otherwise

I am looking forward to seeing the quality, or lack thereof, of NCP romances (assuming there is more than Cullen) in DAI. I cant imagine that a ncp romance can be as deep and robust as a companion romance in that you can be with you companion all the time and an NCP only some of the tine. Also a companion shares the same experience with you creating a deep and special bond.

Straight: Cassandra*

Bi: Scribbles, Sera*

Gay: Vivienne

 

Male LIs:

 

Straight: Grey Warden

Bi: Cullen, DHMG**

Gay: Solas**

 

*Sera and Cassandra could be either

eek, You're making that sound like fact. Sadly, I'm worried that you are right. 

 

I'm sure I will find something to like about whichever s/s ladies BW gives us to romance, but if I got my way, I'd have an option of either Cass or Viv. The realistic/pessimistic? side of me doesn't see it happening though.
