Yes, Bioware said that if people were LIs in previous games they won't be available again. Shame too since Leliana is very pretty and I already love everything else about her.

The only man we can for certain rule out is 'Cole' if he is Cole since Gaider said he won't write one. Varric and Iron Bull are sadly probably not going to be available. That leaves Cullen(who we know is), DHMG, Grey Warden, and Solas as the possibles.

So if they do 2/4/2, then they can have them all but with each passing day I feel 2/4/2 is less likely. :(

I don't like that.  I was hoping for a chance to get with Isabella again.  If there is two things I must do in every Dragon Age game, it's sleep with Isabella and kill a clan of Dalish Elves, perhaps both at the same time.

My problem lies in Iron Bull + Female Dwarf player.  I'm familiar with the dark places of the internet but that just goes beyond what I deem acceptable, but I am just one man with a single opinion.

Well, to be crude, you are making some.....big (?) assumptions about qunari.

On a serious note, I don't see an issue with this combination.  It's not for everyone, sure, but I don't think it should be out altogether.  That's just me, though.

Iron Bull just seems to have a ridiculously large midsection, perhaps even large by qunari standards.  But look at his head in relation to his body -- humorously tiny pinhead, huge body.  Not everything about him or qunari are huge.   I don't see a problem with dwarf/qunari or any other combination.

What about the male dwarves? They're not much bigger.

I must admit my bigger fear is: will my straight female Inquisitor be dumped again, or rejected, or cheated on again? I have seen a little too much extra drama for the straight females in Bioware's games.

DA:O: Alistair can broke up with Warden, at least there are chance to prevent this.

DA2: Anders go BooooM! (but here is true for gay MaleHawke too)

ME3: Jacob cheat and have a child with another woman. Thane dies.

:crying: I'd love to at least have the outcome of the romance depend on actions of the player, as with Alistair. and not like ME3.

Don't forget zevran isnt loyal to your warden unless you die! At least thats how it was for me. I lived, in DA2 he takes Isabella up on her offer of sex, I die he turns her down.  <_<

That was an import issue. Hopefully keep will fix that.

Even if Qunari were large everywhere, Dwarven women have bigger hips than elves or humans (don't know about Qunari women) so I could see them being appropriately accommodating.

Everyone bi would solve all these problems.

But it wouldn't really. I think Allan mentioned once on this thread that if they weren't doing many sexualities that there would likely be less overall available love interests.

At a glance, I like Solas best among the companions, and there is a chance he'll be not available to me, but there's also always the chance that he'd not be a romance at all, which might also leave me disappointed.

With multiple sexualities we have more love interests in general, which is really great for people who are willing to switch PC genders based on who they want to romance. I can be dissappointed about not getting one individual or another, but that risk was already in place and I'm not missing out on numbers because of this new system.

I think you will be able to romance all nine people that is to say if their will be nine ore more. I think it would be interesting to marry one also but maybe that is just me.

I used to think all nine would be romanceable until recently.

Marriage has been confirmed to be out of the equation (as has having children).

Everyone being romancable would solve a lot of problems. For the fans, anyway. It'd make Bioware have more.  :P

As for the no marriage part,  :crying: .

I'm honestly not so fussed about marriage. It was meh in Skyrim and I don't see why BioWare would bother with it when they're already ostensibly struggling with romance as it stands with regards to meeting fan expectations and whatnot.

I also remember quite a few people requested that marriage be added in ME3 before it came out, but BW never seemed to care.

Because millions of people believe in no sex before marriage, so it would be nice to have a romance that does that occasionally. The only one that comes close is Friendship Sebastian, but that is a chaste marriage.

Just from a straight female perspective, has anyone else noticed that DA has never had a dark haired romance option? Sebastian surely doesn't count. In DAO there was the blonde Zevran, and Alistair. In DA2 there was white haired Fenris, and blonde Anders. So I guess I'm hoping for either the DHMG or the GW to be option.

Not a big deal, just an observation. Although I do prefer dark hair. :-)

Sorry if this was already mentioned. I read most of the thread but couldn't get through 388 pages.

Random thought! I noticed the male LI (so far) are blonde or something close to it! I mean Alistair, Zevran, Anders, Fenris <sort of, I have seen blonde hair so light that it was practical white) and now Cullen! all blonde! I mean I don't have a problem with it but I just thought it was interesting to point out if it hasn't already.

What about Sebastian? He had brown hair?

Solas kinda reminds me of Nosferatu too much for me to ever romance him

THANK YOU, I was trying to figure out what it is about Solas that makes me all "DO NOT WANT" that isn't related to his weird hobo longjohns, and I think that's it. Bald head + pointy ears = Nosferatu IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW

Zathrian was Nosferatu as well then I guess. Based on those two criteria at least.

Incidentally my own guess (with a dash of hope, because lawks am I disinterested in Solas):

Bi: Cassandra/DHMG

Gay: Sera/Beardy

Straight: Scribbles/Cullen (bleh)

I really, really, really, really want DHMG to be bi. I want that mustache lovin' available no matter what type of inquisitor I make. Anyway, I am always surprised by the people who think Cass will be straight. I've thought she was at LEAST bi since DA2, but hearing she was a lesbian wouldn't surprise me either. It might not be for any particularly good reason (look, there's just something about the look she gives Leliana, okay?), but because of that, I'm always like, "What, her the straight option? That's crazy talk."

If Vivienne is a lesbian, I will pay someone cash money for an Inquisition Equal Love mod.

And I am normally a horrendously cheap person.

My predictions:
Solas, Cassandra: straight
DHMG, Sera: homosexual
Cullen, Scribbles: bisexual
This isn't necessarily what I prefer (I want to romance Sera with a male dalish) but that's how I think it'll go.
On the topic of LI numbers, it seems that they wouldn't have extended the number of LI if not for making characters with different sexualities.

I fear Scribbles might be the lesbian LI: denying straight male players an LI that is also a companion just doesn't seem like something that would happen. Whilst I am tired of it, it would be typical if they go with a bisexual rogue and lesbian npc aide for f/f LIs again :(.
