Why can't we all *sniff* just romance *sniff* the available LI we want to *sniff*

I can't see Solas being gay as Bioware are probably going to only have one homosexual exclusive romance who will seemingly be Dorian.

If Dorian ends up being the gay one I am throwing in my towel. I will then accept the fact that I am forever cursed to not have a male heterosexual LI for my female player characters that I personally enjoy in a Bioware game ever.

The difference is that in main games past, there have been straight and non-LI human companions among the bisexual human companions.  When there is an elf in the companion roster, they have been bisexual.  We have not had a straight or non-LI elven companion yet.  This is the basis of what a trend means.

Looks like Dorian is going to have to be the bisexual option because everyone wants that stache.  I'm fine with that.  I don't mind sharing.  I'd be super disappointed if Solas is gay though.  He's literally the only one of the male characters (besides Cole) who I'm not interested in.

On a serious note, I'd like Dorian to be the gay character but not because I'm gay myself.

 

It's more that not everyone likes to be with an elf, while (I assume) everyone likes being with a human. So keep the elves as the bisexual options for everyone, while making the humans the gender exclusive ones.

 

It's just how I'd personally prefer it. Not a gamebreaker for me though, as long as Dorian himself isn't straight. That's just ... no I don't even want to consider it.

I'd also like him to be the gay one because (somewhat superficially) I'd like the gay guy to be a good looking, thicker, hairy guy.  Skinny, hairless gay guys are too stereotypical.  It would be great to have a gay guy who looks like Dorian.  Of course, as mentioned, that's superficial of me, but I know it and am okay with it.

Thedas does not have that terminology.  But he can always express that he is only interested in men in casual passing, it does not need to be done in a flirt.

On the flip side I've read a couple "complaints" that there was never an alien option for gay!Shep, so I guess you get all types. Some people like their nice safe comfortable humans, some people like their wacky fantasy creatures. I'm not so sure that your method would necessarily guarantee happiness for the greatest number of people, but it's a nice thought.
