Don't count on it.
I'm not counting on anything. Right now we don't even know the system yet, so I see no reason for pessimism. I'd rather just wait and see, instead of torturing myself.
Why you gotta be like this
Cassandra's my backup plan for Quizzy if DHMG is unavailable.
Hah, I feel you, I want him myself.

I do. Like I said, "I've initialized my "Always assume the worst. That way you are never disappointed." policy.

No he's not. He says he is then bites your head off about it 10 minutes later at camp. And the whole virgin thing should work with Morrigan but you have to pass the persuade to get him to sleep with her.
It's been too long and my last playthough ignored Alistair. Morrigan, however, is an awful person to him regardless of her being a malificar, while a blood mage / Alistair relationship at least, presumably, treats him kindly to some extent.

Well with recent disappointments [like no Nevarra and no City Elves
] I understand that sentiment but I just don't... I don't know enough to base my optimism/pessimism. Right now I just hope I get something that I want.
That's how I've felt the last 24 hours.

I'm pretty sure Alistair's not shallow enough to go "well she's nice to me." about a slavery supporting, innocent murdering maleficar.
That's how I've felt the last 24 hours.
So have I
and yesterday at 3pm I was so happy. Then the romance news hit and everything's sucked.
I just want them to say who's for who so I can go back to happy.

He's shallow enough to threaten the entire well being of Ferelden over not getting his way.

Assuming the worst, they will all hook up with each other, dumping Inquisitor with the words - Go fix the Veil already, goddammit!
Edit: or like this (courtesy of Nefia)-

He's shallow enough to threaten the entire well being of Ferelden over not getting his way.
No he's not. The warden doesn't need Alistair to kill the archedemon. The only thing alistair does is walk away. One invidiual walks away.
If alistair was all standing between you and failure your warden was completely incompetent.

I've had literally 5 things on my personal wishlist.
1) City Elf as playable race
2) Qunari as playable race
3) Have companions I'll enjoy
4) Visit Nevarra
5) Keep Playersexual System
Now let's see how that fares now.

That's why you never release bad news last. It ruins any good news.

At the time he walks away, he's one of the three Grey Wardens in Ferelden. There are three people in Ferelden, at that time, capable of slaying the Archdemon. One just walks away if he doesn't get his way, regardless of his relationship with the Warden.
You're certainly rude today.
Why?
From the Romance announcement to probably several of my favorite EU characters dying in the beginning of the game, where do I start.

My list was the same as yours ![]()

He doesn't know that. And B. You chose Loghain over him he had every right to leave.
For telling the truth? Your PC knew Alistair was going to leave. He tells you this whining about it after you force Alistair's hand and saying he's the who who threatened your operation after he gave you fair warning is ridiculous. Especially since your PC didn't even know Loghain would survive the joining. If your PC is so reliant on Alistair getting rid of him for Loghain is incompetent.

Yeah, this has been a disappointing 2 days
The worst part is it lied by starting out great with a new trailer.

That's what you get any way for letting Alistair leave. You should have made sure to have him executed for desertion instead.

In that case, he's abandoning his companion (or companions) of a year, towards the very end of the blight. Over one decision, when he specifically gave you the reigns. I'm fine with him being upset, I'm fine with him leaving, but Duncan is dead, and you're choosing acting like a Warden, which Alistair pretends to be and letting someone sate vengeance over a man that your PC (especially the Mage PC, who can actually get out of their Origin without a problem or a Dalish who'd rather die with his clan).
If Loghain dies, then Alistair gets his precious revenge. If he lives, you have another sword at worst, and a brilliant general and moral figure for the troops at best.

It depends on my Warden. It's just an option a lot of them won't take. It's an issue with a lot of blatantly evil choices, like killing off the Dalish. The only one it really fits are the Dwarf origins.
