So I have mixed thoughts about Sera being f/f:

 

1.)  I'm happy because I think that they might not have Solas be gay now (both elves being gay seems odd if there aren't multiple gay characters), which makes it more likely that Dorian is the gay one!

but

2.)  This means that Vivienne is definitely not going to be f/f only, so unless she's the bisexual option (which I suspect will actually be Cassandra), it means that I might not have a f/f romance for my female inquisitor playthrough (not really feeling Sera).....

Well, after that mention of more romances than in BW games past (sans TOR), there's nothing that says they can't have more than one gay or lesbian LI.  There's no rule that there must be only one.  Just putting that out there.

While I would love this, I'm not even going to get my hopes up for this.  There has only been one gay male LI ever in a Bioware game and we've never even had a gay male companion ever in a Bioware game.  I'm not holding my breath expecting there to be two gay characters of the same gender.  If anything, I suspect that they would make more bisexual LIs.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Like I love that an actual COMPANION is a lesbian and totally only available to females. But I have this thing for Cass and her personality (and her scars if I'm being shallow) also I have a thing for Viv. And while I love Sera and I should be celebrating (and I am) that this is finally happening, I'm also still kinda worried.

I really feel like the 2/4/2 pattern would be the most fair for everyone- so I'm kinda hoping there aren't two gay LIs of both genders. One straight, two bi, one gay for each gender.

 

Honestly, I think 8 romance options, period, is probably pushing it. But here's hoping...

I like Solas too.  Solidarity, brother! *fist bump*  I'm still just frantically offering sacrifices to the romance gods for him to be an LI at all

 

I'd be surprised and disappointed if he wasn't. I'd actually bet (like 2 bucks maybe) that he's the F/M only romance right now with IB, Dorian and Cullen being bisexual or gay. I just kinda doubt that Varric, Cole or Blackwall will be romance-able and I'm on the assumption train that there will be 8 romances.

 

I mean, I probably won't ever romance him if he's straight because I kinda doubt I'll get around to playing a Straightquisitor, but still, I like all of his other fans so I'm hoping for your sake now.

Well, my guess is then:

 

If 2-2-2 spread.

 

Gay:

Sera, Dorian

 

Bi:

Cas, Bull

 

Straight:

Cullen, Scribbles.

 

Reasons: I think too many of either gender like Cass too much to not make her a bi option, which on a 2-2-2 spread now would mean that Scrib or Viv is a straight option. I'm going with Scrib as straight option and Cullen as the same so both strictly straight options are non-companion romances. Iron Bull is as good as confirmed as Bi, which means Varric, Blackwall, Dorian, Cole, Solas or Cullen will be straight. I pick Cullen.

 

if there ar emore LI's I'm guessing Viv as another bi option and any of the men, I would have no idea which one. Probably Solas. Give them fans some elf manmeat.
