I think you might be reading a bit too much into that. There's difference in romance lines, she's more caring and gets jealous with ladyHawke than dudehawke (when tallis flirts with hawke)

I think there's more flexibility probably with Fem Hawke and Isabela.
I find it weird for a Diplo Male Hawke to romance her, for example. Or rival her. The finger wagging ninny male doesn't seem her type.
But for female, I can see it as someone who sees her as just becoming a better woman.

I always Diplo her.

I think Isabela is more cynical about men, but not less interested in them.
That was my impression as well.

She actually gets jealous in both, she sounds more protective towards fenHawke though.
No she doesn't? When I did it she openly invited Tallis to join such as she did Zevran.

The whole Isabela is more interested in women thing strikes me as rubbish. I've romanced her as both and felt no such imbalance.
She taunts and teases a male Hawke while she up and thanks a female Hawke.
Mind you, the teasing is mostly a playful attempt to keep him from getting an ego.

Nah, to me it clearly seemed she has more preference in ladies from the way she talks overal about men and women.
Ofc that's up to anyone.

You sure? The one time I accidentally picked the flirt with Tallis during a s/s relationship with Isabela, she didn't take it so well.
By the way, it was my own damned fault for picking the flirt. I hit the wrong number key on my mouse (where my dialogue wheel is mapped,) so that's how that happened.

I always got that impression too. But it doesn't really matter, after all she is happy with Hawke regardless of gender.

Ofc, i didn't say anything about her not being happy.
Just wanted to say my impression.

All I can say is that she finally submits to some ideas and begrudgingly sees Hawke as a good influence. This seems to work better for females, imo. ImHo. Less baggage here at least.

OTOH, I think the trailer Hawke fits well with her.
Y'know.. the filthy blood mage with food on his face. Probably aggressive, and probably doesn't care about slaves. Got her a ship.

This look of a man who hasn't slept for months, lack of hair (and, apparently, even brows) and any distinctive features is what makes him less appealing than most other companions. He may have fine facial contours but alone it's just not enough
Looks at Jack, she's bald/shaved, but her face stands out and attracts attention
Iron Bull is almost "ugly" but this brutal, masculine face with scars, eyepatch is what makes him alive
Solas looks bland, his eyes are kinda... dead
His concept art, though, shows as a smug elf with very expressive face
We are to see in future how his in-game animation looks
There are plenty of people who find Solas attractive and attention-getting with his violet eyes and his angular features and his full lips and cleft chin... Oh hey, I'm one of them. Your opinion is your opinion. Not everyone's going to agree with it.
I personally do not think Iron bull is "almost" ugly--he flat out IS ugly to me. That's my opinion. Others think he's hot stuff and that's fine. But I also found Garrus ugly in Mass Effect, and still romanced him, and he remains my favorite Bioware romance to this day.
I think that Solas's clothing type, and his tiredness, tie into his character. His attire looks like he's scavenged it and made parts of it himself. That tells me he's been on his own in the wilderness for some time, possibly in Ferelden due to all of the fur. He's wearing a jawbone necklace in most of his known outfits. We don't know why for sure he's randomly wearing a jawbone--possibly he's our party necromancer--but there's probably a reason for that. We know that he's a Fade expert. There's some speculation that his tiredness is because he's a Dreamer and avoids sleep because if he sleeps he'll enter the Fade, and perhaps he's being hounded by demons. He is quite possibly, or even probably, an apostate. If he's an apostate, then he wouldn't want to stand out particularly much.
I have a theory that if Solas is an apostate, he may have a distinctive hair color: blond, or red. If so he could have shaved it off because not having any hair stands out less than having a less common color of hair. And by the way, he DOES have eyebrows. That was discussed some time ago in the Solas thread, and later screenshots that turned up proved that he has them, and they are pale colored. More points into my "Solas has an unusual hair color" theory.
Edited to add: I, in real life, have similarly super-pale eyebrows, and a lot of people have simply commented they didn't think I even had eyebrows. I do, and they're actually pretty bushy at the moment, but it doesn't do much good to shape them up and make them pretty if no one can even see them... This is not a rare thing for blonds and redheads at all.

Lol, so that mark across his nose is actually bbq sauce or something?

So what? I'm talking about general approach, not individual one
Iron Bull's face is modeled to be ultra-masculine. That's not modern, but still a standard of masculine beauty. Granted the one which is almost non-existant nowadays. Eh, turians were designed to resemble some of the predators. It happens that majority of humanity finds predators beautiful: big cats, canines, reptilia and birds
He doesn't really look shaved: Iron Bull shaves, we can see his bristle. But Solas' head probably shines in the bright sunlight. It is either due to him being an elf - they're the least hairy race in Thedas - or maybe due some magical thing
His brows are almost non-existant

It was a joke in Legacy as well.
- Hawke: When you tell people about our escape from Lothering, why do you make it seem like I have food all over my face?
- Varric: You're larger than life, Hawke. I had to give you a few flaws just to make you approachable.
- Hawke: Did you call me fat?
- Varric: Yes, that's pretty much how I tell it. "Hawke rolled into the fray like a gigantic pudding, covered in gravy." It's more dramatic that way.
- Hawke: I'm not sure about the epicness of this tale.

My boss doesn't look shaved, either, but he shows up often with nicks on his scalp because he shaves his head. If you shave your head daily, it will be smooth and shiny. Stubble takes a day or two to grow.

If hair is dark, it's still quite visible
Hm, I guess he shaves with magic, seems quite handy

Did you not read where I pointed out if he had pale hair (since his eyebrows are very pale) he likely shaved to avoid notice? His concept art showed dark hair, but it's rare to have dark hair with reddish blonde eyebrows, unless he's like a calico/piebald elf or something. I think you're simply being contrary because you're determined to find nothing positive about Solas to like. You're certainly entitled not to like him, but you seem to think no one else should either. Personally I'd be very pleased to have him be available as a romance.
And now I'm dropping this subject because you are evidently determined to be super-negative about a character you know almost nothing about.

Well, here's hoping they announce all LIs. Seems weird to only have 1 confirmed character w/ orientation, 2 confirmed characters w/o orientation, and at least 3 blanks.
