No no no, i dont think you understand why the new system is so perfect. Let me explain.

 

Remember how in Dragon Age 2, there was a character you liked, and could romance them regardless of what gender you were with no impact on the actual romance quality at all? Everyone wins right?

 

Well, see, now with this new system, some characters will be locked off to you for arbitrary reasons. Now only some people win.

 

Its really quite revolutionary.

 

I'm pretty sure I've already explained why this isn't the way things are to you in a different thread.

Yeah, I can see why that would be a concern but they've done pretty well in the other games IMO. At least I always felt like I had meaningful relationships with the characters, romance or not, especially in DA2. So I don't think you'll have to worry much!

To each their own.   I can't say that about Zevran, Anders, or Merrill's friendship arcs for my own experience.  However, I'm happy to take your advice and remain open minded.  I love Varric after all, and his LI status had no bearing on it.  His friendship arc was well handled, at least in my opinion.  That's why I still have a little hope for him as a LI in Inquisition, but I know I'll be glad to see a friendly face no matter if I can "bang the dwarf" or not.

A lot of people have been bitching since they found out Sera was a lesbian so...

Which means they could have Vivienne or Cassandra as their choice instead. In case of males that is.

Now the females, they have Sera and either Vivienne or Cassandra.

This is alright with me, couldnt please everyone no matter how it all went.

A lot of people complained about her hair, as loud if not louder than her sexuality.  Gamers are just fickle sometimes, and when something new pops up, they'll have something new to grumble about.

 

Just wait and see if my theory is correct about Cullen being bisexual.  Then you'll see a real crapstorm.

Anyway my favorite female character is available to my first inquisitor who couldn't work with any other LI, in my perfect world, Cassandra would be the second s/s LI, but with Sera I'm already happy enough

In my world, Cassandra would be a bisexual LI and Solas as the m/m.

Hey, you still have Cassandra, Vivienne and Scribe Girl. And you can always play as a female inquisitor if you want to romance Sera that badly. Another perspective could be fun anyway.

Putting this here as it's romance related.  Just a general note to please not taunt people because they are not able to romance a character they were looking forward to romancing (whatever that reason may be).

An addendum to this.  By extension, this also means do not attack other people who happen to be happy because a romance option they are looking forward to exists.

 

Taunts can happen on both sides and I'd prefer to keep the discussions from derailing.

Representation was a goal, as well as options.

Straight males will still have characters that they can romance.

Huh. Based on what? Did I miss something wrt to how many romances there are going to be in the game? Because from the information I gathered they said it's going to have the most romances in a Dragon Age game which means more than five, but if they've put restrictions on that I missed that.

I admit, the only reason i was even interested in Sera at all is because she was an elf, and elves are more interesting then humans.
