One of those probably isn't a romance I would guess.
My vote is Scribbles, but we'll have to wait and see.

Huh. Based on what? Did I miss something wrt to how many romances there are going to be in the game? Because from the information I gathered they said it's going to have the most romances in a Dragon Age game which means more than five, but if they've put restrictions on that I missed that.
They've already had 5, if you count Sebastian.
Hey, you still have Cassandra, Vivienne and Scribe Girl. And you can always play as a female inquisitor if you want to romance Sera that badly. Another perspective could be fun anyway.
I don´t like new look of Cassandra, I like Vivienne, but i fear she is not going to be romanceable like aveline.
Not particularly thrilled with any of those.
I admit, the only reason i was even interested in Sera at all is because she was an elf, and elves are more interesting then humans.
I get that it's disappointing to have fallen in love with a character from what you've learned from them and then finding out you can't romance them, but the game hasn't even come out yet. For all you know one of these could be your new favourite character because they wowed you with their personality! I've been in that situation several times where I ended up loving completely different characters than I expected going into the game. Just keep a positive attitude about things.

idk, she's the first black squadmate, I think Bioware would seriously shoot themselves in the foot if their made her not romanceable but that's just my opinion.
Don't count Scribbles out.
Anyway my favorite female character is available to my first inquisitor who couldn't work with any other LI, in my perfect world, Cassandra would be the second s/s LI, but with Sera I'm already happy enough
In my world, Cassandra would be a bisexual LI and Solas as the m/m.
Our worlds are not mutually exclusive ![]()

To be fair, Hiro did state it was a "guess."
I've also gotta ask: Am I the only one that is a little skeptical of the romances in DA being this high being...well, of a potential loss in quality? I'm concerned that with 6 or more LIs that the friendship arcs would suffer. I'm not using any ME references because while I'm sure the two teams talk, they aren't the same and have different approaches with their storytelling.
Don't get me wrong, as I know I'm going to enjoy the game. I'm just a little leery that's all.
Considering one area is bigger than the entire DAO, no I'm not worried. If they expanded that much in gameplay, I have no doubts they did in the story aspects either.

Aww man, let me overanalyse everything in my overexcitement, it's part of the fun. ![]()

That's why I'll just roll with it. The DA team not only spent the time over the last half decade learning more and more about what the fans want, they've had more than 12 sodding months to make the game. The company keep surprising me usually in pleasant ways, which is why I keep buying their products.
Latest surprise: The Mass Effect game play, especially in 2 and 3. I haven't really enjoyed third person shooters before (or any shooters, really,) and I found myself enjoying it.
For you, I hope she's not. You've already had kinda a rough time with the announcements so far. ![]()
By the way, you were the first friend I made on the forums back in November when I first started posting.

That's what people wanting to role gay PC are being told.
I'm sorry but that's not an argument, why play a PC you don't want to play and not enjoy the game ?

I understand what you are saying, i do.
But in regards to those characters, I have seen quite a bit of Cassandra in DA2 and wasn't really big on her. I find her very dull.
Viviene has priorities that i really find unappealing in a person.
Im not counting out Scribe girl yet, but i honestly can not imagine her being as fleshed out of a romance as any Romancable Party Member.
I hope that, perhaps, there are some female Straight or Bisexual romance options that havent been announced, but i cant imagine thats a possibility.
I realist that today i have let my emotions get the better of me, and have probably insulted people as a result. That was never my goal, and i apologize.

It happens to all of us. Gamers tend to be a passionate lot when it comes to our favorite games. No lasting harm done. ![]()

@TheodoricFriede
People get emotional, and it's clear a lot of people really like our games and the romance content is a part of that. I appreciate your comments and hopefully your impressions of the other characters can be challenged in a positive way and make you go "hey this person's pretty awesome too."
Cheers.

Yeah. I can honestly say I've never had a Bioware game I haven't loved.
Yeah, I hope she is. With how things are going now, if she isn't than the only option for any male Inquisitor I make is Cassandra. I love Cassandra, but I love options too.
Really? Yay! ![]()
I'll go with my gut on this one, it has served me well in the past.
Dorian - gay LI
Blackwall - Straight LI
Solas - Not LI (I don't get that vibe from him)
Cassandra - Straight LI
Vivienne - Bi LI
Iron Bull - Bi (can have sex) but not LI (due to Qun views on love differing completely from lust)
Varric - not LI (bianca's the only one for him)
Cullen - Straight LI, mayyyybe BI
this is what my gut tells me.

Mate, you're preaching to the choir here, I'm firmly team playersexual, too. But Bioware has made their stance on it clear and we just have to accept that they value representation over the accessability of LI, and tbh, that is something I can absolutely appreciate, especially as someone who's part of the LGBTQ+ community, because they're at least coming from a well-meaning place.
It is what it is. The game's not going to change. So what you can do instead is make the best out of it. And one of the ways to do that is to see it as an adventure in perspectives. I prefer playing a female inquisitor, too. But if I have to play a male one to romance Cassandra I'm going to give it a try, because why the heck not.

Jolee Bindo says hi.

I believe Isabela is black.
Isabella is probably just tan from life on the open sea.

As someone that typically (i.e. almost universally) plays a man in games with character creation, a lot of the conversations I have had over the past few months have made me muuuuuuuuuuch more open to challenging my established history.
I should like, do a lets play of one of the other DA games as a woman just because ![]()
Representation was a goal, as well as options.
Straight males will still have characters that they can romance.
Does non-human straight males(and females) Inquisitors will have non-humans characters to romance? elf? dwarf? Kossith/Qunari?
