I like the hair.
You are dead to me.

Oh well, I get Dorian all to my self then.
Choice restrictions would make more sense than race and gender restrictions. >.>
Yes. I hope I don't get another lol worthy scene like Hardened Leliana and the ashes. God that was stupid.
People wanted Bioware4 to be more realistic with their romance. Be careful what you wish for!
Personally, I'd love to see crisis points for characters cause romances to end, more than any other restriction, but if they're going to go this far with gender restrictions, and it makes a larger number of romances available over all, this isn't the end of the world.
Apparently fater than I can keep up with. I tried looking myself n'all.
You there, peasant, point me in the right direction!
Yet again, I quoted it on the previous page. You can also find it in one of the last pages of the Cass thread. Happy to help, sire!

Where's the companion who won't romance the inquisitor because the inquisitor is always fit and in shape and they prefer their lovers to be on the chunky side?
Where's the human who'll only romance elves because they have a fetish for their ears?
Where's the human who refuses to romance elves because they're beneath them?
Where's the elf who refuses to romance humans because of the whole oppression thing?
Where's the elf who'll only romance humans, but only if they get to be the dom in an S&M relationship?
Where's the human/elf/dwarf who'll only romance qunari because they have a size fetish?
If we can fit each of these and a couple hundred more preferences that would cause restrictions into the game, then I'll start buying in to the realism argument. Until then, it's just arbitrary.

Well I have...Cullen. ![]()
Then why go into romance threads? And many could care less if they "bang" these companions, by the way.
Because pretty much every thread on these boards are romance threads. And that comment was a bit of fun. No need to get so worked up/defensive. This is what I mean by people putting too much energy into this stuff, just relax. ![]()
Baldur's Gate 2 was made 14 years ago. I'm surprised there was even an OPTION to play a female character, let alone romance as a female.
Have a LITTLE bit of faith, guys. Seriously, I count maybe 2 potential LI's this MIGHT effect.
And who knows, maybe the number of potential LI's is higher then our currently predicted 6. It could be 9 for all we know. It could be 12.
I see you, Mr. HouseOh well, I get Dorian all to my self then.
I'm at that point where i'm thinking people put way too much time and energy fixating on which selection of pixels they can bang.
It has nothing to do with who I can and cannot bang. Honestly, the only LI I'm interested in is Cassandra and I was planning a human play through as my second, anyway. So this doesn't affect me in the least.
It's the principle of the thing.

EVERYONE IS A ROMANCE NOW.
And Solas.
Well I have...Cullen.
I see you, Mr. House
MINE! *protective hands and growls* You can have Cullen.
Guys, why don't we actually wait for the LI's to be announced before we start jumping and screaming bloody murder?
Yes, but unlike gender and race restrictions, who should always allows for options, choice restrictions should shut down romances with no compensations.
Agreed. I mean being a puppy kicker should cause good goody companions to dump you like a hot potato and saving kittens from trees should do that with puppy kicker comps.
I mean it makes the companions look ridiculous. "Well he's good to me and that's all that matters!"
EVERYONE IS A ROMANCE NOW.
ROMANCE ALL THE CHARACTERS.
HIGH DRAGON ROMANCE HERE I COME!
And Solas.
*insert evil laugh here*
So do you.
*cackles*

Yeah, sorry about that. Though it was your post I quoted I was making more of a general point. It wasn't directed at you in particular.
If you support mages, Viv will dump you and take your stuff.

Until it is reduced to the absurd, it's absurd?
Ignoring, of course, that every single aspect of every single Bioware character and romance option is inherently arbitrary. Why is Isabella a love interest? Arbitrary. Why does Morrigan prefer dudes? Arbitrary. Why is anyone interested in the player character? Arbitrary.

You can keep your grain good farmer.
I mean, Iron Bull was introduced to be interested in anyone he won't break from the beginning. To me that already screamed 'bye dwarf inquizzi/iron bull' personally, but idk. It kinda does make sense.
Yes. I hope I don't get another lol worthy scene like Hardened Leliana and the ashes. God that was stupid.
Yeah, hopefully we won't be able to steamroll on NPCs without consequences, and not just romances; Alistair still holding my Warden as a model years after she basically planned his life for him was sort of pathetic.
