As it stands I'm not going to allow any of this to change my plans for what inquisitor I'm going to play. This is just an annoyance.

 

Well I admit it changed my plans. FemQunari's gonna be second now so I can get most of the meeeeeeh I'm feeling out in my Ice King mage playthrough and just have fun being a dick.

 

Then femQunari will hug the kittens.

 

...then probably back to manipulative evil mage.

 

I can't help it. Games I don't have romance in I tend to play the evil people cause it's just plain more fun and without the concern of how my companions think of me I don't give a damn if they're upset I punted that kitten off a roof for the lulz.

I was a fan of da2. Really dislike the opposite way they've gone with with masses of arbitrary restrictions.

They wanted to do something different. Change is a part of life.  I know it sucks but we can't always get what we want.

 

And considering all the awards they are getting at E3....they must be doing something right.

It´s about race no need to worry;) we will have atleast one gay companion for LI (or so i hope anyway)...

Thats a good point. Because all I see now is "WAHHHHHH I can't play how I want. This game sucks"

 

I don't think the developers owe me anything. I will roll male and female inquisitors and try all the romances.  People need to learn to adapt or have an open mind

Is it possible for one race/gender combination to have less options than another without race restrictions? Assuming the difference is not solely determined by gender and the inclusion of race is redundant.

The side missions are optional content aswell...but alas, i agree. it would not be a Bioware game without them though...romances that is.

Dislike all gating as I preferred where romances were available to all orientations. Race gating is straw to camels back IMO.

That's not how it is. People have been civil in multiple threads for the most part. It got bad in the Sera thread for a bit, but that was closed off pretty quickly.

 

I'm OK with the policy myself, but... I don't know. Got to put this out here.

 

The Sera thread took a bad turn too.  I can understand why people are upset but we can't get everything we want in life.

 

I just don't expect my demands to be fufilled when I play games either.

That's not what he said. He said that there was no guarantee that a particular race/gender (emphasis mine) would have as many romantic prospects as another.

 

That does not mean that some races will have less. It means that certain race/gender combinations might have less than others. Or, conversley, that some might have more.

 

Maybe. For all we know, it is the gender that is the significant variable here, and that all races have an equal amount of romances. Again, maybe.

More that I don't actively go looking for it and they don't openly share it with people. (I understand your comment was more in jest, but just wanted to make sure it was clear)
